YAY, it's a bracket.

Used 12" X 12" to add 4 more small hanging with 2 extra shelves on top. Now the 18' top/bottom hanging bars have room. And, less than $35.00 total.

We have some of the exact same hangers pictured but in an off white color. They are very robust and significantly stronger than the ones you receive. The barcode on the ones received indicate they are the correct product. These are only slightly stronger than the ones you can get at a big box store than hold 125 lbs per bracket. I would say that these absolutely will not hold 500lbs per pair on a clothing pole without bending. The old ones we have and the ones pictured which are much thicker steel will definitely hold that much. They are better than the cheapest ones at the store though.

I installed these with the adjustable closet rod for extra support. These give me the option to add a shelf if the need arises.

basic style--i got a pole cut to size from home depot's trim department. super quick shelving solution.

This bracket is very sturdy and very easy to install. Doesn't come with the screws to hang it, but works fine with just standard screws. I have purchased a few of these now

I screwed 4 of these into studs (16 inches apart). I attached two shelves to them (from a disassembled pine book shelf that was about to be thrown away). Then I ran one closet rod across all four brackets (from a disassembled, crappy clothing rack that kept leaning over). Now I have extra shelf space and an extra long closet 54 inches inside the two most outer brackets plus another 10 outside of both of them. 74 inches of super sturdy closet space. I'm SOOOOOO glad I ordered these. I didn't even need wall anchors because the screws hold so strong into the studs. I paid 30 bucks for the crappy clothing rack that fell apart--this system cost me 12 bucks (plus 16 wood screws and my salvaged shelves and rod). Hooray!

This is not adjustable as far as I know. The bar needs to be 11 inches away from the back wall, and 3 inches (hook depth) below the top shelf for it to fit.Product description from another site claims to hold up to 500 lbs. per pair when properly installed into wall studs. So I’m guessing a single bracket is around 250 lbs hold.Why they didn’t fill out the full description on Amazon is beyond me.
