If you have a boat, at some point you'll need to make repairs yourself as the cost of marine repairs is high. Many issues onboard are pumps and motors that fail. Sometimes its the part and sometimes its an electrical connection. This tool easily helps you determine quickly which of these it is. The wire length is perfect for my application and I can see exactly how many volts my equipment is receiving.

The car i was working on had its harness removed when i got it so I needed to literally hook every thing back together including reparing several broke wires, connectors, and shorts. I thought this was cheap enough to get but wasnt sure it would be used more than my multimeter. It made testing so much easier. knowing wether something was hot or not and able to inject power into a circuit to make sure the load was connected properly made this job so much simpler. The cable is long enough i could crawl underneath the vehicle. and its never got disconnected from the battery no mater how much wiggling around I did. The tip could scrape through corrosion to make a solid connection and if I put power into the wrong circuit, it has a audible alert and circuit breaker that would reset after a few seconds. It could power any load on the vehicle even the starter for a the few moments i needed to verify it. Great product. Have no real criticism. possibly wish it had a audible tone when probing.

As a weekend DIYer, a tool where I can provide power and ground to diagnose electrical issues would be nice to have. I’ve searched and came across this tool from Allsun, the reviews I saw gave me the confidence to try it myself. The tool did its job and the money I would have spent to have a shop diagnose it, easily pays for itself. I’m glad there is a product in this price range for us DIYer and even entry technician that is on a budget. Looking forward to other products Allsun has to offer.

This power probe worked perfectly about 6 times. I went to use it today, and the red light and buzzer stay on constantly. This unit is 4months old and very lightly used, I expected it to work properly longer. My Sears multimeter is 12 years old and works fine. If my complaints to the manufacturer in China produces any results, I will update this rating. UPDATE: After a couple of emails, Customer support has determined a component failure and has promised to send me another unit. Good Customer support is hard to find these days.

I used the power probe the day I got it to locate a short in my riding mower. The probe works great and saved me a lot of time. I could not believe the low price and figured it would be junk but took a chance and ordered it and am I glad I did. The probe is very good quality and will be on my work bench for years to come. If you need a basic power probe, this probe is for you!

Best electrical tool you can buy if you work on cars or trailers. Works great I use it all the time.

But it functions well and is a great value. I am going to use the cable off my broken power probe.

Item arrived promptly and was exactly as described. I like the variety of options this particular tester offers although as advised in the instructions you need to ensure it’s in the correct mode before testing units to ensure you don’t cause a short in certain test modes. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase, the price and performance to date.
