The New Answers Book: Over 25 Questions on Creation / Evolution and the Bible

Great read. Very detailed step by step trip through how actual science can be used to support the Bible more succinctly than science supports evolution.

I have had so many questions about Genesis, as I'm sure a lot of people do. My pastor recommended this book after I kept askeing many questions, and I ended up buying the whole series. I would recommend these books to anyone who have always wondered what some scriptures in the book of Genesis means. I wish I would have had books like these to read these when I was younger.

This book will place at your fingertips helpful ideas to check out for yourself. The other intolerant and unkind reviewer was obviously grinding the proverbial ax. I have a copy of the unrevised book and found it very thought provoking in how it pointed out the very real problems with the model of Darwin as well as presenting lots of scientific data for an alternate view. It takes far more faith to believe the twisted evidence presented by Darwin's current followers than to believe the evidence from those who cite scientific evidence for some sort of intelligent design. Ham is not a ranting Bible thumper. He is coming with real ideas and evidence.If this updated version is anything like the former issue it will deal with most the main sections of the debate and give you a good heads up. Dembski and Behe will go much deeper, but Ham is a good, real good, place to begin. As for the dinosaurs living at the same time as man, you owe it to yourself to see the evidence for this. You will not get the real story presented by anyone sympathetic to the Darwin model. I seriously wonder if the only reason evolutionists do not accept this and other similar arguments for a younger earth is that it would remove the incredible amounts of time that evolutionists think they must have for the impossible scenario of all the many missing links to somehow connect. I give it 5 stars as an strong introduction to the subject, which is what it is. I'm ordering it today and will update my review if it's not at least as good as the earlier edition.

I can't believe how fast I got my book! And at a great price.

This is a very thought provoking, orderly, and logical book. Furthermore, a lot can be learned from this book when approached from the standpoint that is unbiased. The great thing about the book as well is that the information presented is all cited, supported, and aggregated by both secular and non-secular experts in their respective fields. I definitely would recommend this book to people from all ages, ethnicities, and walks of life whether one is not a believer in the Bible to those who are believers and are aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible. Additionally, this book isn't just some narrative with an agenda that limits and skews the information to promote a specific view, but it provides information from both sides of the spectrum in a fair manner and allows the reader to be the judge. So if you have a few dollars and little interest, give the book a shot, and if you don't like you can always buy it used for under fifty cents to minimize the loss or sell it back and recoup some of the original investment. Definitely give it a shot though if interested.

You need to have a PHD for some of the reading. And other times my BS in Nursing is good enough.

This is an enlightening book that offers alternatives to evolutionary theories.There are two main theories:(1) The world is so complexed that it must all have happened by accident. (2) There is an intelligent Creator behind the development of the universe.Ken was wise not to address each and every question by himself but rather use authorities of each specific field to identify the weakness of the #1 theory and offer the views of the #2 theory. This is a must read to those that have questions about their faith and whether it has scientific standing.One particular topic that the average Joe will enjoy is about the weaknesses of the carbon dating methods. The very foundation of how they claim the world is 'XXXX billions of years old'. Or even humorous questions like how would dinosaurs fit in Noah's ark? (Answer: Probably eggs/baby dinos!) I originally had the 1990's version of this before I started to upgrade. What I didn't realize was that this is one of four total books of Answers in Genesis!! And counting! It's upgraded enough so that you can still find the answers to the old questions, as well as some others that have come up in the last 20 years. If you have never read Ken Ham, or anything to do with creationism, you should try out this book! Ken Ham is a speaker with a highly scientific background that can give you a clear defense for why the biblical account found in Genesis is just as accurately, scientifically sound as the evolutionary theory. More so!

This is a new revision of an older published series called the "Answers Book". Each chapter is written by a specialist Phd Doctor in their field of expertise to provide a different interpretation using the same scientific evidence available currently. For example, Radio Metrics would claim the earth is 4.5 billion years old but science makes a lot of assumptions about radioactive decay to come up with this number and these have been tested, reports published, and found wanting by the world's leading laboratories in the field of radiology. Rocks from volcanos known to be only decades old were dated at 2.8 million years, impossible! Carbon 14 dating is explained and then subjected to the same sort of testing and found to be scientifically unreliable too. Diamonds are far too old to have carbon 14 in them according to the science, but they do. While this book is written from a Christian creationist point of view it is interesting that these Phd scientists embrace the science and use the results to support their view. The point is that the Bible and science are compatible and having read this you can see that they do have a case. It is fascinating information that demonstrates how the current scientific community is selective about how much information it gives emphasis to when it does not suit its theories. There is much in this book to give room for serious consideration of how science confirms what the Bible says.

Super! Auch für Laien zu einem sehr großen Teil gut zu verstehen und unglaublich, wie Gott sich alles genial gedacht und erdacht hat. Für Bibel- und Schöpfungskritiker definitiv lesenswert. Die Probleme und offenen Fragen in der Forschung zur Entstehung der Erde können mit ein paar Milliarden Jahren auch nicht gelöst werden.

Great for new Christians or anyone wanting to understand the science behind the truths we already know. Many people believe in evolution blindly but cannot even back it up with science because there is no proof. That is why it is called the THEORY of evolution because that is all it is.

I'm from the UK (London) and this isn't an 'American' issue but rather one for truth. We have the same issues - all the time, pseudo intellectuals talk of millions of years as 'you can literally measure it'. This book gives a fairly easy read on various subjects. Personally I'd rather more chapters dedicated to 'Young Earth evidence' than 'How did Cain get his wife' but a good read and badly needed today.
