This flux... I can't say enough good things about it. It is high quality and works excellent. It protected gold wire from fire scale at 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit. You have to be generous with it. It is a flux that can do the job. I made a pair of reading glasses with $1,000 in gold wire and this flux protected the gold during gold soldering. This flux is excellent for torch soldering at high temperatures.

Works very well just remember to add a little water crush it a bit till it turns into a paste.
