A little over priced for what it is IMO
Ok. So I have refused to buy one for nearly ten years since having a reef aquarium. I’ve made DIY auto top up units over the years for a few quid and had no issues. This time though I have a new massive system and spent absolute fortunes, so figured being tight on this, one of the most important things really wouldn’t be smart. The unit is great. Easy to set up and comes with some safety features to prevent over filling, alerts you when the RO reservoir is empty and maintains the salinity perfectly. The only downside I’ve encountered is the pump is noisy once activated. A small annoyance for me as the aquarium is in my living room. Let’s face it the price is way over the top for what it actually is. Tunze think they are the Gucci of aquatics in my experience so what can you do...

Simple effective and sensitive.
Initially put off buying as I could’ve find any info about how far the float has to drop before triggering the pump. I’m happy to report that it’s only needs to drop about 2mm, making it ideal for small aquariums. Easy to put together, set up and works perfectly. Has a useful safety timer so can’t overfill the tank if the float gets stuck. Can’t get the pump to sit upright in the bucket because of the kinked tubing and cable.

Such a great device. Completely changed the way I can manage my tank and my holidays :-) It's on test since last three weeks and it's perfect for my 20 liters open tank, the water level fluctuation is really negligible. I'm now going on holidays for three weeks I trust this little toy will do a great job for me!

Occasionally stops working but easily fixed, just take the power cord out and put it back in again, a bit annoying though

Quiet fiddley to fine tune but very good once you get it done

Very loud pump
The pump is by far the loudest thing in my reef tank but it does fit into a 25L barrel. Auto top up works fine and comes on a few times a day. Cannot understand how such a small pump can make such a noise and for the cost this is not acceptable.

Floods
Worked well for 2 weeks and just floods every time now waste of money

a previous 1 of these broke so it was easy enough to just swap over the parts that broke and continue using it as is, worked well

Originally, I used a 3152 for my ATO in a 34g Mixed Reef. That version relies solely on a float switch which caused me numerous failures allowing the unit to run up to its backup time limit then cut off.. I thought that was OK until one day the backup failed and I came home to a flood. After that, I switched to the 3155 and it was a great investment. The sensor works flawlessly and the double backup gives peace of mind (and an audible alarm if something goes wrong). Set up was not difficult -- took about 15 minutes to make sure I had everything positioned and connected. The toughest part was pushing the tubing into the pump.. I think I got it about halfway in and gave up, but it seems secure. The only issue I had after set up was that I had dialed down to the slowest pump setting since I have a smaller tank. This resulted in water not coming up high enough so I had to open it up a couple times to turn up the pump speed in order to move the water up about 5' to the tank. Overall, this greatly minimizes the daily needs for the tank and gives peace of mind. It has become an essential piece of my tank now and in the future

Ekipmanın kurulumu kolay, mıknatısları gerçekten çok güçlü birbirine yapıştırmamaya özellikle dikkat edin. Eğer ana akvaryumda kullanıyorsanız dalgasız bir yere kurun derim. Akvaryumda bir “wavebox” varsa kullanımı zor olabilir.

Well all the information I have looked at was correct. I've been using for 2 weeks now and what a benefit not filling tank daily manually. Little pricey but worth every penny. Nice work tunze
