Good product. Ive had it for a year and its just now starting to fail. It doesn't really boil the water anymore, which means it releases very little steam now. It still clears my nose though. Also, it releases a black residue into the water and I don't know what that is. Other than that its great.

Bought this last winter due to having frequent unexplainable coughing. This product was bigger than I expected when I received it. First, the instruction seemed easy enough to follow since there isn't much moving parts in this item. However, even despite following the instructions minimal steams were coming out. Sometimes there was none whatsoever. I had to go through the reviews for suggestions and troubleshoot with the instructions such as putting a pinch of salt. But I couldn't seem to make this work the way it is supposed to. The cough suppressant just kind of sits there and doesn't do anything. No steam, no vapor, no nothing?
