I have some cheaper Wahl hair clippers that I’ve been using on myself for a few years, they’re OK.But as I’ve gotten better and better at cutting my own hair I wanted to get some professional quality clippers, and after much research I decided on the senior.These are absolutely class, they’re heavy, well made and just feel so solid in the hand. They cut through my hair effortlessly, and they’re an absolute joy to use. They’re better than the clippers that any barbers have ever used on me.They’ll have paid for themselves in 6 months.Absolutely worth every penny, excellent clippers.

I have another two of the same machine but this one that i just bought performs like it needs to recharge .. its slower than the other two when you switch it on. You can really tell the difference when you switch them on side by side to compare, i cant really return it without replacing it first so im having to keep it cause its used everyday at a barbers but very dissapointed with the performance. Of the particular one i recieved.Having said that the other two i have which is the identical machine work like a dream .So it may be that the one i recieved was faulty but like i said cant return it cause i cant wait around for weeks till its recieved checked and replaced / resent.

Very powerful

This was awesome to use for 3years but i noticed that the battery can no longer hold charge when it was 2yrs 10months plus after I bought it. If you need personal clippers cos you travel a lot, this is quite good for you. I will not advise this purchase if you looking to have one that can last you for 5years plus and the battery is still efficient. This will make a good comparison between cord and cordless clippers.

Solid and precise.

I’ve been cutting hair on the side more frequently these days and two different barbers actually recommended these clippers to me. I immediately got rid of my original cheap clippers after the first use of these. It makes fading easy and I like the 1/2 size guards as well. One recommendation I can give to the manufacture is to provide a nice case for it. The clipper set is already pricey, how about a nice case to go with it?

The clippers used to cut really well and the build quality is excellent. Unfortunately the battery failed on mine after 2.5 years. Just suddenly stopped charging or powering on without warning. I had been using them to cut my own and my son’s hair once a month.The clippers are for professional use and can be opened easily with a screw driver so I assumed that Wahl would sell spare batteries - but no, not available as a spare part except dodgy third party ones which is why they only get 3 stars. The battery is proprietary as well due to a soldered on connector. Probably they deserve just 1 star due to Wahl’s hopeless customer support but when they worked they were really good. If Wahl don’t want to sell the batteries they should design them to take a standard unmodified cell.Now I have to decide whether to throw them away or risk the dodgy third party battery.
