I was honestly skeptical about these tablets but they actually made a noticeable difference. I tossed a few in the mucky shallow end of my pond and within a couple weeks the water looked clearer and there was way less sludge. The smell also started to fade which was a huge relief. I didn’t have to scoop or stir anything which I really appreciated. The tablets dissolve gradually and I like that they’re safe for fish and turtles since I’ve got both. I’ll definitely keep using this stuff through the warmer months. It’s low effort and high payoff.

Update: The company was very responsive. I was unhappy with the result, they responded quickly. I can only give a good review to a company this responsive. They explained the proper use of their product. Another failed try to clean the brown 'powdery' muck that settles on the rocks at the base of my pond. I used the entire product, which supposedly would have treated the pond for months, in a matter of days. Made no difference. Just had my pond completely cleaned 2 months ago, wasn't cheap, and in no time that brown powder began appearing on the rocks. I've tried many products, add this one to the list, makes NO difference. Maybe it works on really ugly ponds, but I just wanted to keep the pond clean. Disappointed.

they say how great it works. used two buckets and still have allot of muck after 7 months of treating only area 25ft x 55 ft

I wasn’t sure about these little tabs but figured I’d give them a go since they are much cheaper than having my pond dredged. I recently bought a house with a farm-type pond that has been neglected for some time. I have used these tablets for nearly a month and I do believe they are helping control to muck along the shore and I have wild fish who don’t seem to be bothered. The water is definitely clearer. I’ll will buy again.

If I could give it a zero-star rating, I definitely would. The instructions say that the tablets dissolve when dropped into the pond, but based on my personal experience, that’s not the case. Several days have passed, and I can still see the tablets intact in the water.

I chose this Muck Reducer because it is advertised as a natural product that is safe for animals, and I am very pleased with it. I have ducks, and some wildlife also come here to drink, so it was essential for me to find a product that wouldn’t harm them. Since I started using it, I have visibly noticed a reduction in the muck at the bottom of the pond, and it has had no negative effects on the pond life, which gives me great peace of mind.
