Runs surprisingly hot
I just got this unit, installed the drivers and everything worked, which is great. However, it runs pretty hot. I don't even have 2 4k monitors attached, just 1 4k monitor and 1 1080p monitor. I'm using the latest macOS.

WAVLINK device allows multiple monitors
I have a MacBook Air M3 laptop and was frustrated I could not connect it to multiple monitors. This product saved the day! This is not sponsored, I’m a regular person who desperately needed multiple monitors for a class setup. I plugged my 2 Lenovo DP cables into this device, and then plugged the device’s USB C cable into my laptop and it works perfectly. As others have mentioned, you do need to download the display link software, but it was very straightforward and easy to install and use. The hardest part of the whole process was finding the right device that would allow this setup. My only complaint - and I’m not sure if it’s because of this product or the laptop itself - is that I can’t close the laptop and just use the 2 monitors. When I try that, the monitors go blank and the laptop sleeps. Otherwise, it’s perfect and I’m so glad I found and ordered this. The picture shows the device with my 2 monitors plugged into the display ports and the USB C connecting to my laptop.
