Gets the job done
These are perfectly generic connectors and they work fine. Don't expect them to be as good as the original factory ones that you're replacing. Also don't expect them to be low profile. If you've been an electronics hobbyist for any length of time then you know what you're in for: basic inexpensive connectors. My bag of "10" TS connectors contained an inner bag of 10 connectors, an additional 2 loose connectors, and some precut heatshrink tubing. The latter is a nice touch and helps with strain relief. I have no complaints.

Not the best but still a good value
I don't use a lot of these but occasionally I need one or two for a project I'm working on. I usually don't need high durability or precision so a decent plug that doesn't cost much is what I look for. These plugs work well for my purposes and I'm happy to have them in the parts bin. However, they are not equivalent to name brand parts that you pay three times as much for. Ancable sells a value part when cost is important.I've attached a photo so that you can see the difference between the name brand part (top) and Ancable part (bottom). There is very little difference between the screw cover and cable strain relief between the two plugs so there's not much to say about that. The first thing you'll notice is that the thread finish is rough on the Ancable part but it works. The cover screws on firmly and doesn't pull out when reasonable force is applied or cross-thread when installed. I don't think the thread finish makes a difference on the durability of the plug. It just makes it more expensive. The finish on the ring barrel of the Ancable part is noticeably rougher than the name brand part. That could cause some noise problems down the road but the difference is so small I doubt that will happen before I no longer need whatever the plug is attached to. I can tell that the Ancable plug is just slightly harder to insert into a mono jack than the name brand plug but that could be caused by small dimensional differences between the two. When removing the Ancable plug I can feel that the tip is rougher than the name brand plug, but I did not notice any sound difference between the two after a few plug/unplug operations. The ring/tip insulator on the name brand part is much more robust than the insulator on the Ancable part. I think this will be the limiter on durability. After many plug cycles the center insulator on the Ancable part will probably deform and the tip conductor will become loose and make noise. If you aren't careful with the soldering iron, you will probably have trouble at the start. The ring (ground) terminal is a good bit thinner on the Ancable part compared to the name brand part. It is still plenty strong but avoid bending this too much or it can snap off.I didn't have any trouble getting a quick solder joint made on the Ancable part. I tinned the lugs and wire ends first and then soldered in the wires. The plug worked the first time and there was no difference in sound quality between the Ancable and name brand part. The Ancable parts are less expensive for a reason but I still think they are a good value when used for the right purpose. I wouldn't use these for a cable I was making for a customer. I wouldn't use these in a field application where they may get roughed up a bit. They are great for a classroom project or when you need to make a cable for an indoor project that stays put. They cost less than a dollar each compared to an Amphenol part at $3 each. With good care while soldering these should work well and last longer than you need them to last.

Great little soldering exercise.
I had to make up a few audio jacks. These were easy to use.

Good value for the money.
I had several portable speakers which has no terminals on the end of the wires. Ordered these connectors to use these speakers for portable devices requiring a 1/8in phone plug. I only used one so far it works fine. The package included heat shrink tubing which was a plus.

May require work
When I tried to plug one of these into a phone jack, it wouldn't go in. I tried jacks on a number of devices, and it wouldn't go in. Testing found that 8 of the 10 in the package were too large to fit into a standard jack.It turns out that the black plastic insulating ring between the two parts of the plug was too large. I held each plug flat against a file and turned it a few times. That solved the problem.
