Humectants essentially draw moisture to the area where it they are applied. Glycerin, especially good grade, can act as a great humectant, and in my experience this product does exactly that. On a note of its efficacy, I have not been able to use this humectant on my skin without significant moisturizer applied before I apply the Glycerin or mix together. Since it is drawing moisture to the area, in my experience something I never considered that had happened was that if my moisturizer dried before I could clean my face and reapply moisturizer with the glycerin again, then sometimes the skin underneath my eyes would actually look worse because the water from the deeper layers of skin was pulled up to the surface and the moisture in my skin was over drawn and although my superficial layers of skin looked less dry, my fine lines were actually deeper. After further research this is why I learned that when using Glycerin, although wonderful as a humectant, must be used appropriately and measurements, timing, and testing should be done to get the moisture you hope to achieve for skin and hair.

We like using glycerin to make bubbles (mixed with dish soap and water). A little goes a long way.

I make tinctures and this seems to be a really good quality glycerin. It was exactly what I expected and did exactly what I needed.

I have used the vegetable glycerin with lip gloss base and it blends very well. The final product resulted in a moisture rich gloss.

This is an awesome price for some high grade glycerin.The bottle didn't leak at all and the glycerin is the v perfect consistency so it works exactly like it should for my crafts! Smell is as it should be.

This is very moisturizing and has no scent at all, which is great. I'm just learning about this stuff, so I decided to start out adding it to my existing soaps or lotions for extra moisture, which is one of the things you can do with it. This worked great with one exception. I have one very expensive bottle of body wash that I use on occasionally because I love the scent but it actually dries out my skin! So, all was going well as I added this glycerin to my other soaps and lotions, but when I added it to this expensive and great smelling body wash, it completely removed ALL scent!! It did a great job making it more moisturizing, but I would strongly caution that you try it out on a small amount of product you'll be adding it to if you're at all concerned about losing the scent. It didn't just make the scent less noticeable, it completely removed the scent totally. I only added a few drops because that's all you need. Other than that one very costly mistake, this is great stuff and even though 8 oz bottle isn't very big, it should last me a pretty long time if this is all I use it for. I may try making my own body wash with it in the future.

First it came packaged well and sealed well. It has no smell. It's great to add to my lotions and soaps to add extra moisture. A little goes a long way. I like to use it in my bubble baths. I even use it to make bubbles for my kids to blow. It's a great product.
