This surface conditioning tool works great. It’s really powerful with the 1400W motor and the variable speed is super helpful for different tasks. I used it on stainless steel and the results were Amazon-ing, it gives a wonderful polished finish and smooth surface. I used it on regular steel as well! The tool is easy to hold and doesn’t feel too heavy, even after using it for a while. The handle extention helps a lot to have perfect unakward position of your hands. The set comes with everything you need to get started. I'm engineer and I can tell you it’s a solid machine. If you need to polish or condition metal, I would highly recommend this one. Worth every buck you spend! The price is much better that more expensive competition with same quality!

Great tool. My only complaint was the handle didn't mount at 90 degrees, but a thin locking washer quickly remedied the problem. I've used it a few times since I got it. It works great to strips away the old wax on my snowboard with the nylon drums. I used wire rims to remove old paint from my foundation before repainting. Worked like a charm and fast! There are a ton of standard drums for this tool so it's not hard to retrofit for different applications. I also intend on using this for refinishing some older wood furniture and "distressing" other pieces. Very versatile. If you were curious, I purchased a separate 18 inch tool bag and it fits the tool and a few drums pretty well.

This tool works as well as the more expensive units, although it's definitely on the heavy side. I've used the hell out of this and completely stripped my car with it and a few roloc discs. The weight doesn't seem so bad after some use, but that just could be from the added bonus of it being a piece of fitness equipment for your forearms.

Good tool, smooth operation without excessive vibration. Weight was good, and the tool decently balanced. So, easy on your hands even under continuous use. Noise was acceptable, but hearing protection still advised. Variable speed is a plus during use. I was "scuffing-up" old painted concrete prior to re-painting, and the tool had more than ample power. Fit all the third-party brushed that I have purchase so far. The only minor negative is that the bolt holding the brush vibrated loose and came out. I ended up putting on a split lock washer and using some thread lock, and then had no further problem.

It shorted out after 4hrs of use, where to core goes into the handle. I cut the bad part out and required it , and it worked good for a while, a couple more hrs. Then the stop/ lock button used to change the wheel stopped working, so the brush can’t be changed. Overall It ran ok, and even came with extra brushes for the motor. Had ok power, would have been nice if it spun faster, but was ok. At the cheapest price I could find on Amazon, I can’t be too picky, but it didn’t really for out for me.

I'll just echo a lot of the other reviews; I wish I'd gotten one of these years ago. Fastest rust removal of any method I've ever tried, although it mainly is only going to work on large flat areas. Cleaned up a disassembled table saw in about an hour. Removed heavy rust from the table, stripped all the sheetmetal for paint, very easy. Everyone that works on old machinery needs this tool in their arsenal.

Very disappointed with this tool does not meet my expectations in the slightest way. Was trying to remove rust from my truck roof. It didn’t even touch it. Save your money. Don’t buy it.

I held off on getting one of these for a long time, but I finally gave in, and wish I'd bought it sooner. It makes cleaning up sheet metal after CNC Plasma cutting sooooo much faster and easier. It feels solid in my hand, but not too heavy. The cord is soft and flexible, not stiff like so many cheap power cables. It doesn't have any stupid safety/trigger mechanisms, and in fact, allows you to lock it on, which is awesome. If I needed 2, I'd buy this again.
