OXO Good Grips Silicone Roasting Rack Set - 2 Piece

Made of silicone, these are soft & won't damage your pans, unlike metal versions. I bought mine to go into the slow cooker and oven. I like cooking my chicken & joints in the slow cooker but found that the meat would sit in the meat juices which meant the bottom would be soggy - not anymore! Thanks to the OXO rack, I can now lift my meat up high enough to be out of the juices meaning I don't have to struggle to try to lift the meat out of the pan, and tip up a hot, heavy slow cooker to drain the juices, whilst also letting the heat out & setting cooking time back by an hour. Now I can leave it in there for the entire duration as the meat sits above the juice. I've used mine so far in the oven and slow cooker and also as a cooling rack for when removing hot pans from the oven. It is easy to clean as long as you pay attention as its easy to miss bits of food in the indents, so just be thorough but otherwise, it cleans up easy with a soak and a rub. With 2 in the pack, I have enough for either a large joint, 2 dishes at the same time, stacking on top of each other to lift the meat up higher or one in the pan and one for pan rest when taking out the oven. Brilliant. Would highly recommend as I can see these lasting for years without issue. They are not likely to snap or break as they are thick and seem well made. Update: so the picture on the description of what looks like grilled bacon made me assume these were also suitable to use under the grill. I tried them when cooking gammon so the meat wouldn’t sit in the juices. Turns out that despite being oven resistant, they are not grill resistant. See photos. The only bits that survived were the parts covered by the meat, so clearly being exposed to the flame in the grill made these persish as they have quite literally shattered when touched. I did expect them to be resistant to the grill since they are silicone and temperature resistant but obviously the flame has damaged them. Therefore, do not use these for grilling unless the meat entirely covers the silicone rack.

These silicone roasting racks are prefect for cooking a chicken in the slow cooker. They fit perfectly into a 6 litre Morphy Richard’s slow cooker. I did try them in a smaller slow cooker but they are too big.

Really useful and easily cleaned. There are no joints or seams for food to get stuck in. I usually put them in the dishwasher. They look a little smaller than I expected but have worked under large and small joints when put side by side. Quite happy with them.

I really like these as they are much easier to clean than the wire rack I had previously, just put them in the dish washer. Having 2 means that I can use 1nin a smaller tray or both together in a bigger tray. Also useful when putting food in the microwave to raise it off the plate. Fantastic product.

The best product in my kitchen! I have numerous baking dishes that I had wished had a decent rack to lift food off the bottom of the pan. These work in my glassware and metalware and are so easy to clean!! I love to bake chicken and don’t like the pieces sitting in grease. Good for our healthy eating. Very highly recommend.

Really useful product! I bought these as I found that I lacked a roasting tray with a trivet, these roasting racks allowed me to easily adapt the trays that I already have. I use these as cooling racks and to protect my worktops from hot trays, so the racks are not just for roasting! Overall I am very pleased and they seem to be good quality so hoping they will last for years!

Initially I had my doubts about these but they've turned out to be excellent. I've gone through so many stands/trivets that have either rusted eventually or been difficult to clean and store. These are really good, you can use one for a small food item on a little try or both together for a large roast. The chunky silicon is really easy to clean and doesn't harbour food. Also take up very little storage space.

I use these as trivets in my pressure cooker as metal trivets soon went rusty. These are excellent for that purpose - easy to use, easy to clean and do not rust! Had to cut them to size but that was easy too - just snipped off one "ring" with scissors. Wish I'd had them years ago!

Easy placement and clean up. Use two in larger pans.

Good quality silicone that fit well into my oven/microwave - good size for steak and porkchop.

When the roasting rack that came with my roaster got old and manky, I replaced it with these. They work really well, and clean up really well. Just enough height to keep your chicken from being stuck in the bottom of the pan. And the size means you can use two in a big roaster or one in a smaller baking dish. Well worth the money.

Tengo el modelo ovalado de duraceramic y pensé que me entraría perfecto. Como podéis ver en las fotos, es un poco más grande y tengo que dejarlo medio doblado. Por el resto, hace su función. Tiene un material de silicona agradable al tacto y parece de buena calidad. Es bastante resistente, pero a la vez flexible. Me explico, es fácil de moldear, pero resiste bien el peso de la comida sin doblegarse. Si lo moldeas, vuelve a recuperar la forma, no la mantiene. La verdad, es que se nota su uso. En la crockpot, cuando dejaba por ejemplo las albóndigas, terminaban con una capa más oscura por la parte que está en contacto con la olla. Ahora con esta bandeja, me quedan elevadas y se cuecen igual por todo sin tostarse. Aún me falta por probarla en el horno con el pescado y la carne, pero es muy útil, para separar la grasa de los alimentos. Para lavarla, puedes ponerla en el lavajillas o a mano. Para sacar la grasa, tienes que dar con ímpetu, sino queda el molde aceitoso. Esta rejilla no es plana por la parte de abajo, tiene como unas ondulaciones que hace que el aceite no se acumule y pueda repartirse por la superficie. Tiene una altura de 2 centímetros, que en muchos casos es irrelevante, pero para la crockpot, es a tener en cuenta, ya que para dejar la comida, necesitas echarle más cantidad de salsa o caldo, para cubrir los alimentos. ✅ CONCLUSIÓN Una rejilla de silicona silicona con una relación calidad/precio buena, aunque quizá un poco elevada de precio.
