More confidence in colour transformations with this product !
Had to write a very positive review, as was so impressed with this clothing dye. The last time I used a dye was at least 25 years ago, and this was a "hand dye", necessitating a garment (a polo shirt) being immersed in very hot water and trying to keep it moving to ensure even results. The colour was OK but not vibrant, and I don't think I ever wore it more than once, as it was so obviously dyed and looked like a cheap product ! HOWEVER, the use of this Dylon Machine Dye, was so easy and a completely different experience. The coverage is superb, and the colour is brilliant. I very successfully dyed a pair of light grey golfing trousers, which somehow had bleach splatters on them. I decided I wasn't brave enough for the full "Ocean Blue" effect, so only used half the powder, aiming for a sky blue "rejuvenation". The trousers were 60% Cotton and a 40% synthetic mix. Bleach marks are no more, and I'm extremely happy with the results - so many thanks to Dylon for continuing to innovate and develop such a great product.

Does what it say on the tin
All in all it was pretty good. I had tried hand dyeing with patchy/streaky results so thought a machine dye would be better. It was. The colour is as it appears on the container and it's easy to use. I got fed up with the hand dye as you have to stir it for up to an hour and my effort still came out unevenly. The colour has come out evenly with this method though and I'd use this product again. I have a small gripe about the packaging which was fiendishly difficult to get into, but then packaging is usually like this. But apart from that, recommended.

Very true to colour
I did a few things with this in the washing machine and they came out very true to colour. Unfortunately, that wasn't the effect I was after - I was hoping that (for example) a yellow T-shirt would come out green, etc. Instead, I ended up with a stack of clothes that are now all exactly this shade of bright blue! Great if you want this particular colour. I should have just used half a tub!

Thoroughly recommend
Really easy to use (although the instructions are in incredibly tiny print). I dyed a dress from a very pale pink with black dots to this blue. Looks amazing. The stitching didn’t take up the dye but it doesn’t notice at all, but if you had a garment where over stitching is a feature you’d need to take that into consideration. It also doesn’t stain the washing machine or taint subsequent washes once you have run the cycle through afterwards.

Dylon powder dye.
Excellent washing machine dye. I dyed old white guest towels that were a bit grey looking. I dyed them ‘ocean blue’. I followed the instructions implicitly. Great results. Prime delivery.

Most disappointing
Put 2 tops in washer to come out blue, only 1 came out blue. The other is still the same

Very disappointed! I watched a few YouTube videos and followed the directions exactly. They all said to put the damp fabric into the washer, then set the open pod on top and start the wash cycle. It’s obvious where I set the pod - the rest of the fabric is evenly dyed, and I have a big purple stain where the dye pod was set! This is my living room couch cushion cover - I’m NOT a happy camper!

Mag die Linie von Dylon, nur schade das Sie nicht in Deutschland produziert wird und daher auch dementsprechend mehr kostet als zb. Simplicol, was jetzt klar auch nicht schlecht ist in dem Sinne.
