Easy to install, great camera, easy set up, bright lights

Recently moved house in the last month, and all the outside lighting either doesn't work, or is broken. I was going to replace the garage PIR floodlight, but saw this on a deal so spent the extra and ordered this instead. It was a very easy install, it is surprisingly light. The camera quality is great, and it picks up my WiFi signal fine, where my phone has little to no signal. The camera is on my garage which is about 15-20 metres away from my house/router at the back of the garden. I bought a 256gb SD card and it records all events. It picks up my dogs in the garden, and also any other critters that wander around. It has plenty of extra features. I don't pay for the subscription service as I have no need and does everything I want without it. I will be buying another one for the front of the house when I have some more cash!

This product is good, good connection and a good that you do not need a subscription. Video and sound quality good and clear. Easy to use the app. Would be good if you get a SD card with it

This is a solid option for those wanting a combined security light and camera and has many great capabilities; it is easy to read about these in any product reviews. There are some things to consider though before buying. Firstly, while the mounting system is very neat there are some limitation. The gap between the mounting plate and the main unit is small, so if you have looped wiring ie 2 sets of wires, it is a squeeze to get the wires into the connections, fit a connector on to earth wires (if you have them) and then secure the main unit to the mounting plate. Not impossible and if you are moderately competent with electrical wiring you should be fine. Another point to note, not covered in the instruction, is that the C720 will only connect to a 2.4 GHz router. I couldn’t get the app to recognise mine until until I disabled the 5 GHz channel on my router; once the unit is connected to the app you can turn it back on. I have found the PIR sensor to be more limited in range than I thought, so use the camera detection to trigger the lights as well. The motion mode is overly sensitive and does tend to pick up small motions quite a way away, even with the sensitivity set to its lowest value. Person and Pet detection and Line Crossing work well though, so I have now turned off motion detection. For the price you can’t go wrong, especially if you are invested in the Tapo system.

Essy enough to install of you follow the instructions. Image quality hood sound quality very poor sadly. Muffled and a fair bit of electronic feedback making listening to even the birdsong difficult let alone what a passing villian may say.

I have a large garden and this captures all of it with good clarity. Easy to install. Remote control from the App is my favourite feature

Very good camera and excellent floodlight for a very reasonable price compared to others on the market. Highly recommend, will be purchasing another for the other side of house.

It's a good camera & floodlight but because my boiler's steam outlet is close to my garage and wind is blowing all the steam into camera's direction then it activates the floodlight and triggers warnings/recording a lot. Sometimes it records the movement/people - sometimes not. Good pet detection. Motion range on the floodlight could be better (for that price). I'm sort of unfortunate to have garage next to boiler that generates steam so it affects the functionality.

Awesome camera spotlight! Does everything is says on the box and without subscriptions too. The only negative for me are the lights are cool white and I have everything in warm light.
