Great gate! Easy build. Good quality.
We had an issue with our dogs getting territorial over their food, so we needed something to keep them separate when fed. That said, my parents are older and don’t need to be climbing over a baby gate or constantly taking it down and putting it up over and over for twice daily feeding. This product solved all of the issues! I found it relatively easy to put together. My dad helped me a bit, but realistically I could have put it together alone if needed. I watched some of the videos and read reviews prior to buying and noticed some people saying that the screws didn’t screw into the gate properly and could slide in and out prior to tightening the washer attachments. Once I constructed mine, I realized that those pieces are meant to be that way due to the tension aspect of the product, so note that those particular reviews don’t actually show any quality issues. Overall, this is a great product. It’s easy for my parents and me to open and close. It keeps the dogs separate effectively. The door props open as it is supposed to. It’s adjustable to different sizes very easily with tension and the extra pieces. This gate is a great value for the money and I would buy a second one in a heartbeat if needed.

Perfect Fit for Our Home and Pets!
This baby gate was the most reasonably priced one I could find with great reviews, and I’m so glad I gave it a shot. It was incredibly easy to install and is surprisingly sturdy, perfect for keeping my son and our new dog and cat safely separated.I really appreciated the included extenders, love that it’s adjustable to fit your space! I only needed one, and it fits perfectly in our hallway. The height is also ideal, especially for our larger dog who might’ve jumped a shorter one. Bonus points for giving the option to either wall mount or use pressure caps. Easy to open and latches well. Great value, great quality, would absolutely recommend!

A breeze to install. Very sturdy!
Very easy install. Be sure and do not cut the plastic tie before you install the fence like I did. I have many zip ties so I secured another one to hold the gate in place while I secured the pressure mounted screws. No drilling or anything. Also I did not have to use the end caps cause my stair entry is solid wood. The gate opens and closes well and now my 215 pound Mastiff cannot go up the stairs or knock this barrier down. Very sturdy! All in all a pretty good purchase.

45" opening with base board, doing off center gate, solution
Tldr, skip to 4 for solution in title1) Trip hazard warning, realize that theres a metal bar running across the bottom of the opening for the gate. There has to be. Mine is mounted down to the top of the quarter round, an inch off the floor, and its probably still a trip hazard. So if you only go down to the top of a base board yours definitely will be. Mine is for animals, no small kids in the house, so its no big deal. At least until i stub my toe, and take a hacksaw to the whole thing. There is a version of this style gate that comes with a little ramp system. If your getting this for use against a toddler id get that one.2) For those who cant figure out this install, go get a traditional baby gate, or the ones they make now that arent tension mounted. Theyre hinged on one end, and latched on the other, just like a fence gate. Probably more your speed, and cheaper too. Like 30 bucks for the latter. Latter means the second one i mentioned.3) Seriously though, its an easy install, even with the issue i had that im gonna get into. Tools arent even necessary. Ppl having a hard time are, frankly, not suited to be looking after tiny ppl, or any kinda animals, so this is the least of the problems in that household. Ffs they even put it super big in the instructions, first thing, that the latch gap is NOT a defect, and actually necessary, but ppl still cant figure it out?4) This may have only been an issue for me cos i wanted the gate to be off centered. So there was no extension on one side. With my opening being 45" (thats what she said), with base board on it, and wanting it to go all the way to the floor, it seems to be the exact measurement to make it difficult to install lol maybe impossible if you dont have critical thinking skills. Using the 4 bar, and 3 bar extensions made it just barely too tight to fit on the bottom cos of the base boards. I might be able to force it, when i dont have to worry about making noise, but it would probably require hitting it with a mallet. However, using the 4, and 1 bar extensions made the gap on top borderline exceed the recommended max for the tension bolts. Plus the gap between the wall was left big enough for smaller animals to get through. Solution, i took the plastic adjustment nut off of ONE (1) tension bolt on the bottom. With the bolt cup, and 3M sticky pad, in place it makes the fit tight enough to hold, and the bolt cup can held with either that 3M sticky, and/or a screw, so its not like im relying on tension alone to hold it all together.5) My only other issues were being worried about how sturdy it would be, with how the extensions work. But the amount of pressure required to make it so the gate latch reaches the goal is more than enough to hold it all together. It would take at least one full on door kick to bring it down, probably more, and maybe your toddler can, but none of my animals can door kick.

Safe baby
Bought it to keep the baby from climbing up the stairs. Love it 5/5. Looked hard for one that doesn’t require me to screw into the wall. This one did the job.

Sturdy and sleek. Love it!!!
Easy installation. Took me 10 minutes to install. Easy pressure mount or you can screw it to the wall it's your choice. I dont like to mess my walls with screws. For the price it does justice. And it is very sturdy and fits perfectly for my stairs. I like it better than safety 1st. I wish I hadn't installed safety 1st before this for my kitchen. Can't return that one. So it stays. My first choice would be this one.Try it. It's priced well.

Mainly good; but a weak hinge
The gate is stable, easy to use and set up, adjustable, and was perfect for or needs as new puppy parents. The opening was wide enough to easily pass through when opened. It took a bit of getting used to stepping over the bottom rail and we tried several times in the first few weeks, but it had to be there, so you know that going into it and you eventually adjust your habits.I will note that I ordered two and while the hinge on one was broken out of the box (returned), the other broke when one of the animals hit the gate while it was open. The hinge is plastic and it’s not strong enough to withstand a big hit. I don’t know what the solution is, maybe just stronger plastic. For the price we got good use out of the one we did keep, until it broke.
