One of the best Anamorphic Lenses I've used for my iPhone! Great value for the price!
First off, I'm surprised at some of the lower-starred reviews which seem mostly based on user error (I'll give tips below to solve those issues), but then I need to remember, not everyone is as experienced with this kind of stuff as I am... I recently switched over to a full SmallRig setup from my previous setup where I was using a popular competitor's Anamorphic lens and case. The thing about the SmallRig setup is it's actually better made, more functional, and less expensive than the competitors! This Anamorphic lens yields great results when using the proper app and settings. It's really well made, and I love that it has a built-in 67mm Threaded Filter ring to attach whatever type of filter is needed. I did also got the complete set of SmallRig Filters, which include a Variable ND, CPL, and 1/4 Black Mist Filter. Here are some tips to get the best use out of this lens: First, don't use that silly clip! Why would anyone use a clip that will partially cover your screen? Just get a proper case that has a T-Mount to attach the lens to. The SmallRig case is actually really well made and less expensive than the popular competitor's cases I've used since 2017. Second, of course, you need an app that will allow for Anamorphic de-squeeze. I used to use other apps for this, but now I use the free Blackmagic Camera app for my iPhone 16 Pro, and it is the most feature-rich video app I have ever used for an iPhone with a great user interface, much like their actual Cinema Cameras (I used to own their Blackmagic 6k Pro Cinema Camera, so I have experience with this.) Overall, I love this lens and have been really impressed with all of their offerings, which has allowed me to build a proper Cinema Rig for my iPhone 16 Pro. Highly recommended!

Not great image quality or blue flare
Note: Mine arrived in an amazon bag-envelope. No box, just the lens soft-case in clear plastic inside the amazon envelope. Not sure if that is normal as other smallrig products came in a smallrig box (with pictures, etc. on the boxes). That might have impact on my review and the product. The soft case seemed ok and the lens appeared fine when I looked at its condition ..but I don't know if it was truly new (possibly a return?) The 1.33 blue anamorphic I received seems to produce poor quality. Images and videos show many artifacts and reflections. Blues flare streaks are minimal at best. Unless pointing at something very bright (like the sun peaking behind a tree) there is barely any blue streak and the bright light has a poor flare around it. More like a slightly blue-ish circle, not a flare that fades out. Compared with a freewell and it is like night and day. The freewell almost has too much of a blue flare streak with fairly harsh edges on teh blue, but eh smallrig barely has any in similar test shots (one taken with freewell then one taken with smallrig ..as close to the same shot as possible). Maybe mine was a returned item since it did not have typical smallrig packaging (no box, just the soft lens case)? Also note that the smallrig is a t-mount and the freewell is a 17mm mount (if you are looking to purchase either). 2 test shots shown are of a very bright LED light so it does have some blue streaks, but yo can see the smallrig has a hard step as it gets further from the light while the freewell stretches further and has a softer blend/fade. Other smallrig products I've purchased seemed great (case and ND filter kit). Maybe this one was a fluke. I wouldn't recommend this 1.33 lens for the money it costs.

Filter threads out of spec.
As a few others have pointed out, 67mm threads on this lens are out of spec. My 67mm VND filter and CPL filter do not fit tightly. The threads on the lens are just slightly too big causing the filters to never tighten and just keep spinning. I thought it may be my filters. But I went ahead and bought the 67mm SmallRig VND filter and it does the same thing - does not fit the SmallRig lens tightly. This is the 2nd item I have had to return from SmallRig (first being their usb c hub). I really want to like the SmallRig products (love their cages). But they are lacking any kind of quality control. Many of their items are labeled as "frequently returned" on Amazon. I understand why now. The lenses itself works well enough. But one will never be able to securely attach a filter to this lens.

Me encantó

Great at distance, blurry close up. You need additional parts
One of the magnetic things that keeps it on the case fell off straight away but it's held on with 4 and luckily the other 3 keep it on ok. Kind of annoying but it still works. The phone clip screws down onto your screen and will crack your phone screen if you have it too tight, if you don't have it tight enough it'll slip out of place so you're going to need the additional phone case to go with it. Great for scenery and long focal length but not great for portrait or subject work as it will be blurry if you try to use it at mid range. If you're looking for something to film a quick establishing shot of a skyline or room it's great anything else is going to look blurry. Feels great quality apart from the magnetic bits falling off.

Firstly let me start with the good points. Lens is well made and the glass quality is excellent, however the connection to the main part of the lens is magnetic, it does have a thumb screw but it can be temperamental. Other than that, it’s a great value product, functions perfectly and produces amazing image quality. Super bright images and so easy to use.

It didn't fit on my 14 Pro Max cage, no option to purchase the T mount plate for older cage. Very disappointed! The clip mount is useless!
