I was a bit torn about purchasing this item because of some of the reviews, which I heavily rely on when making any purchase from any website. I am always realistic about the reviews that products recieve. I understand that some people really test out the product and are very fair in their assestments, and I know that others give very unreliable and uneducated reviews (mostly because they did not read the product information (or understand it) before they made their purchase and they ended up disappointed when the order arrived.There were, what seemed, quite honest and thoughtful reviews, but even more reviews from people that were unhappy (with many of them, seemingly, thoughtful).I decided to purchase the item, despite the negative reviews, simply because the price was decent and I knew I could return the item if it was just completely horrible. Normally, I would not have made the purchase because, as I stated earlier, I rely heavily on customer reviews. I am glad that I followed my instincts this time instead of the reviews.This product is great. No deception by the company, at all, in the description. And I must say that I was very surprised at the quality of this item, considering there were so many people that said it was made cheaply. I wonder what they thought they were ordering, and wondering, even more, why they decided to leave bad reviews. As I said, the item is EXACTLY as described by the company and there was absolutely nothing in the description that was misleading or that suggested it was of a higher quality than it is. So anyone purchasing this, and who has read the information, should know exactly what to expect.Yes the material had a few wrinkles when I opened it......not a problem at all. In fact I didn't even take out the iron like some of the other reviewers say they did. Once I rolled it up and left it over night the wrinkles were gone.....It did not come folded, but instead it was rolled and packed inside one of the tubes. The wrinkles are one thing that I do not understand the complaints about. This has been made for working very large puzzles. I wonder how people actually think this should have been packaged in order to avoid any wrinkles. I suppose they think that the felt should have been laid flat with cardboard (or some such material) used to make it stable, and then it be packaged and sent that way. Ha Ha Ha.....can you imagine?!?!?!!! When laid flat, this is gigantic!! Kudos to the company for choosing the packing option they did.As far as the other pieces included, they are all as described, and of a higher quality than I expected. Yes, the tubes are cardboard. Very sturdy cardboard and very easy to use. I also like the elastic bands with the velcro closures.....very easy to use, as well.If I was asked to find at least one fault with this, it would be that the tubes fit together quite loosley and they will, easily, detach from each other if you don't pay attention when rolling the felt. If the fit was a bit more snug I think that would be nice.Happy I purchased this item instead of one of the more expensive ones? YESWould I recommend this to others? YESWere some of the reviews misleading? YESDid the company make misleading comments as to the quality of the item? NODid I think I was getting something different than what I ordered/recieved? NOWould I purchase this item again, for myself or as a gift? YESDoes this work as described? YESIs this easy to use? YESWas it worth the price? YES.....And as to the comments from others suggesting they could go to the store and purchase all the items included with this kit, and that it would be cheaper and of better quality, I would like to see it done! I have been crafting, puzzling, etc. for years and years, and know that it would be impossible to buy these items (of the same quality) for less than the cost of this kit.Sure, you could go to a hardware store or craft store and purchase everything included with this, but you would surely spend much more money and time getting it done, and would not have the luxury of ordering from home and then making a quick trip to the mailbox to get your product.So, to potential buyers, I recommend this product! There are other options available, with most of them at a higher cost, even though most of them list the same materials in their descriptions. So for the price, quality, and intended use, you can't go wrong with this one!!

A must for puzzle lovers like my family.

I was worried about ordering a roll-up puzzle mat since I heard it was cheaply made and didn't work well, but I really needed some way to easily store away my puzzle in a compact manner, so I decided to give it a try. Yes, the product is cheaply made since it's just a large piece of felt, and a 3 piece telescope tube with some velcro straps, but hey, it actually works and does it's job without causing me any frustration.The mat is very big and can fit up to 3000 pieces, which is very nice. The purple background allows for colors to stand out more. I've also heard people complain that they cannot slide their pieces across the felt, but on mine, i can slide the pieces around perfectly. When I roll up and unroll my puzzles, all the pieces are perfectly in tact as well.The only problems I had with the roll-up mat were that it was very wrinkly when I took it out, but that was easily solved by ironing it, and the fact that the telescoping tube is in 3 different pieces, so it can slide apart when it is not strapped. Other than that, it is a very useful and easy-to-use product.

We have made two puzzles with it, and it really is convenient to use. I would recommend possibly ironing the fabric before first use, we didn't, but it would have made the puzzle making easier if we had taken the time to iron it before putting the puzzle on it. It really does keep everything there so you can stow the puzzle away till you want to take it out again. Now, for what you are buying, when you open it, it seems a lot to pay for the fabric, cardboard tube and velcro/elastic straps, but we have not made puzzles for years due to the inconvenience of having to make space somewhere in the house for them, and then having to cover them keep the cats off of them. So this was a worthy purchase, we have enjoyed making puzzles again, even took one on a recent trip with us that we were able to finish and then roll back up and take home without breaking it up.

Arrived quickly and packaging good. But very disappointed in product. Just an oversized piece of felt with cardboard tubes. The Velcro & elastic straps are okay. I feel I could go to a craft store and make one myself with felt & a paper towel tube. Jumbo means Jumbo. This large piece of felt is freakin' huge. I don't know anyone who makes puzzles this "Jumbo". If your fingernails aren't smooth & filed or your puzzle pieces aren't smooth, this product is very difficult to use. I tried it with a small puzzle so I kept the product folded. Maybe that's where I screwed up. When I rolled the product up, as directions say, with the giant cardboard tubes provide, things went wrong. All my work I did on my puzzle was ruined. The pieces were moved around and crunched as I rolled it up. The Velcro strips are working fine to hold it as I try to build up the courage to unroll it & See if my daughter's puzzle pieces survived or cracked. I regret buying this. I wonder if I can get my money back.

(Puzzle NOT included)Pros:It does hold up to 3000 pieces the product advertises.The dimensions of the Puzzle mat do fit the (32in X 45in Marvel puzzle)Cons, what I dislike about this, the mat is made of felt.... It would of been better, if the puzzle mat, was made out of the same material as a mouse pad mat instead.I found it frustrating when working on the puzzle, is that the pieces would often get snagged on the felt and progress of my puzzle would come undone. I would of preferred a smoother or hard surface so the pieces wouldn't often have came undone

I bought this for my mom to assemble 1000 piece puzzles on. She likes this mat and was able to easily roll and unroll her puzzle. Some pieces do have to be put back together after unrolling but we expected that.

Over the years my dad bought many different brands of puzzle mats and due to excessive moving all over the world we always left the mats behind and bought new ones wherever we went... This is the latest we got... In my opinion they are all the same (the mats not the tubes)... So, this mat is big enough for 3000 piece puzzles (maybe even bigger for some puzzle brands like Castorland), serves the purpose and at least 30-40% cheaper than big brand names....

Finally I don't have to break up unfinished puzzles. I can put them away where they're not in the way and bring them out when I have time to work on them. Our family always does one big one at Christmas but it takes up the whole kitchen table and gets in the way. With this we can put it away and take it back out as often as we need to.
