Out of date...
I like the author and it is a great book but it was made before the new "The Standard for Program Management - 2nd edition" was released with quite a few changes from the initial version. I would not recommend buying this for passing your PgMP as it would be confusing...

Great study Tool
I looked it over but still waiting for the PgMP book to really get a feel for it. Looks like a nice test prep....Assuming the questions are very similar.

Advice from a practicing Program Manager: this book is almost useless
I realize that the persons who have already left reviews on this book seem to have found it useful, and I do not wish this review to seem disrespectful of their collective opinion. However, based on my 15+ years experience as a practicing project/program manager who has had an active PMP for almost ten years and teaches in PMI-certified curricula, this is a nearly useless resource.1. The book itself, as far as I can tell, is not even written by a holder of a PgMP. Moreover, while his PhD is in physics is impressive, I am at a loss as to how his degree applies to the subject matter, even if the write-up of his experience might.2. It contains surprising spelling/editorial errors (it speaks of the author having numerous credentials under his "built", for example; but there are many more).3. The "definitions" are the most basic constructions possible, with almost no useful background or expansion of the terms.Almost nothing this book provides could not be gained by the reading the Standard for PgM. Invest in that instead.Even if one's preference is flash card-style formats in general to prepare for testing, this product will leave you wanting. An almost complete waste of money.

PgMP Flashcards in a Book: Excellent Pocket Reference
This is an excellent pocket reference for essential concepts in program management. I have read all the three references recommended by PMI for the PgMP exam cover to cover. I can say for sure that this book covers all the essential concepts from those references (including the Program Management Standard by PMI) fairly and is very consistent with the PgMP exam specifications by PMI. It can be used as a quick reference to program management concepts and formulae, and also as a quick review for the PgMP exam. It is like Rita's Hot Topics for the PMP Exam or Sanghera's PMP Flashcard Quicklet for the PMP exam; instead this one is for the PgMP exam, and can also be used just as a quick reference for the program management concepts even if you are not taking the exam yet. That said, do not expect it (like another reviewer did) to be a Study Guide or a collection of practice exams which it is not meant to be.I highly recommend this book.

Horrible..
Horrible... and outdated for the latest version of the PgMP Standard and ECO. Don't waste your money on this one.

Hot Topics on the PgMP Exam
This book by Dr. Sanghera is for the PgMP exam what Hot Topics by Rita is for the PMP exam, and even more. I read Rita's Hot Topics on PMP exam before taking the exam and liked it very much. This book PgMP Flashcard Quicklet does the same for the PgMP exam in a very self contained way. It covers almost all the topics mentioned in the PgMP Exam Specifications by the PMI. You can use this book for quick review of your exam preparation regardless which PgMP exam study guide you use (there are not many of them out there yet, I have learned that the PgMP Study Guide by Dr. Sanghera is already shipping).Anyway, I highly recommend the PgMP Flashcard Quicklet for the PgMP Exam and also as a quick reference.

Excellent Quick Reference and Exam Review Resource
This book offers a very useful quick reference for program management and quick review for the PgMP exam prep. A very comprehensive coverage for all the essential program management concepts covered by the PgMP exam and by the program management and other related standards by PMI. I can say it because I have gone through all those references and almost all other program management books... However, do not mistake it as a substitute for a study guide. That said the book is very self contained.I like this design of flashcards in a book. It serves the same purpose as individual flashcards. Who would like to see individual flash cards scattered around without any order...and then you start losing them...I recommend this book highly...

Very useful for the PgMP Exam
Reviews all the relevant core concepts from all the references for the PgMP Exam: Program ManagementStandard, PgMP Exam Spec, and PMBOK 3rd Edition. The review is very self contained and comprehensive. These are flashcards in a book to review the basic concepts for the PgMP exam like Rita's Hot Topics for the PMP exam. Do not take it as a practice exam questions book. While preparing for the PgMP exam, I found it a very useful tool in addition to Dr. Sanghera's PgMP Exam Study Guide. That said, no book can substitute for your experience that the exam requires.

Not a helpful revision aid & now out of date
The fact that the author does not hold the PgMP should have been a give away - but I bought this anyway. In theory the book aligned with the OLD exam structure, however the simplistic questions (which are simply memory tests on parts of the standard) do not resemble in any way the style of the exam. Now the exam has moved on to a new structure, this book is clearly redundant.
