Prolonged release of melatonin allows maintenance of its level throughout the night. This provides complete sleep, without premature awakening, until the morning. Absorption of prolonged-release melatonin tablets - Sweet Dreams Forte: up to 1 hour after administration - 35-40% melatonin; from 2 to 4 hours after ingestion - 40-75% melatonin; up to 6 hours after intake - not less than 95% melatonin. Melatonin is the natural hormone of sleep in the body. It separates itself from the pineal gland and the states of sleep and cheerfulness, the so- circadian rhythm. Separation of this hormone decreases with age and under stressful conditions, which leads to decreased sleep quality and insomnia. Studies have shown that supplementation with melatonin restores circadian rhythm and results in easier sleep, more relaxed sleep, and easier adaptation of the body after a time shift journey.
