Love this! I stopped using my Staresso since I realized the pressurized basket was made of plastic parts and always made terrible espresso. I went through many different manual espresso makers, trying the FLAIR Pro 3 and loving it but realized it was not practical for my traveling lifestyle. Decided to look through the Staresso accessories to see if there was an upgraded basket option and there was this! If you dial in your espresso just right, it makes a fantastic shot on the go! Just what I was looking for. :)

I was unsure of what this would do and wanted to give a try. So since this is the first review: This is a non-pressurized espresso filter for the Staresso mini and classic portable espresso maker. The original instructions do not apply to this basket, so I did 5 pumps and it started dripping out the coffee, so I continued the 1 pump per second until it stopped dripping. There is no layers to the espresso and there is more boldness to the flavor. I used fine grounds, tampped down. This essentially makes really strong coffee with less cleanup afterwards...I like it either way and since I don't truly understand espresso, I recommend this stainless non-pressurized filter basket as an added accessory to your portable mini or classic espresso maker. Staresso should make a stainless version of the pressurized filter basket as an upgrade.

Excelente, buena crema, café molido fino de 10 -12gr prensado en el filtro, temperatura agua 95 grados centígrados. 80ml agua.

The picture shows it suspended from the tattoo of the sp200. What's keeping it there? Completely misleading picture and same goes for description. DO NOT waste your with this. It does replace the original. I don't know what's the deal. Hey Staresso people. I'd love to hear you explain how to use this. What a joke.
