Best Thing to Solve Electronic Throttle Response
I recently installed the PEDAL COMMANDER Throttle Response Controller on my 2023 Toyota Tundra 6.5 bed 4x4, and the difference in acceleration and overall driving experience has been remarkable. Before I installed the PEDAL COMMANDER, the acceleration of my Toyota Tundra felt somewhat sluggish and it wasn't due to turbo lag. The initial throttle response was delayed, particularly noticeable during highway merging and passing maneuvers. While this was expected for a truck of its size, it sometimes felt like the engine hesitated before delivering the needed power. The default factory settings were tuned more for comfort and fuel efficiency rather than immediate throttle response, which made the driving experience less dynamic. The installation of the PEDAL COMMANDER was straightforward and took only about 10-15 minutes. The device comes with clear instructions, and no special tools are needed. It connects directly to the throttle sensor, and the process didn’t require any professional assistance or modifications to the vehicle. Additionally, it’s plug-and-play, so no programming or tuning was necessary. After installing the PEDAL COMMANDER, the change in acceleration was instantly noticeable. The device offers multiple modes (Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+), each with varying levels of throttle responsiveness. Here’s a detailed look at the improvements: Eco Mode: Even in Eco Mode, the throttle response is more refined compared to the stock settings. It helps in situations where fuel efficiency is a priority without completely sacrificing responsiveness. City Mode: This setting optimizes the throttle response for everyday driving. It offers a perfect balance, making the vehicle feel more agile and responsive in urban settings. The hesitation when accelerating from a stop or low speeds is significantly reduced, providing a smoother and more engaging drive. Sport Mode: In Sport Mode, the throttle response becomes sharper, ideal for highway driving and situations requiring quick acceleration. Merging onto highways and overtaking other vehicles is much more confident and effortless. Sport+ Mode: For the real enthusiasts, Sport+ Mode transforms the Tundra into a powerhouse with an ultra-responsive throttle. This setting provides immediate feedback, delivering power almost instantaneously when you press the pedal. It’s perfect for those who want the most engaging and thrilling driving experience. Overall Driving Experience: The PEDAL COMMANDER truly enhances the driving experience of the Toyota Tundra. It gives you the flexibility to adjust based on your driving needs and preferences. Whether you are aiming for fuel efficiency or an exhilarating ride, this device makes a significant difference. The ability to quickly switch between modes using the app is an added convenience, allowing for adjustments on the fly. The PEDAL COMMANDER is well-built and designed to withstand various driving conditions. It fits securely and discreetly within the vehicle, without interfering with the aesthetics or functionality of the interior. I highly recommend the PEDAL COMMANDER Throttle Response Controller as it's an excellent upgrade for the Toyota Tundra 2022-2025. It dramatically improves the throttle response and overall driving dynamics, making every drive more enjoyable and responsive. If you are looking to enhance your Tundra's performance and tailor the throttle response to your driving style, this device is a worthwhile investment.

Make it a priority purchase.
Originally I purchased this because I heard about this from a YouTube related to this product and my truck. Definitely go a do your research. I had heard about it from and acquaintance but thought it was only for diesel trucks. Make sure the one your purchasing is for your make and model. Setup is a very easy. Easy to instal, easy to remove if you have a warranty call. Dealer so far does not have an issue with this mod. When I bought my original thought was to improve responsiveness. It definitely improved responsiveness. WOW! This brings the truck to life. Numerous options such as city, sport, and sport plus. Each level is unique and worth it. Sport plus makes my Tundra a whole new animal. Owners of this can control from the device in the car or through an app. Both are very easy to use. Read the directions and watch some YouTube. Little Easter eggs with this device. Now the interesting part, Eco mode. I originally was thinking I would not really use except for long trips. It makes the acceleration feel like the truck is loaded. After driving quite a bit with this, I’m really liking the ECO mode. Saving 3 miles per gallon so far over 2,500 miles. It works for me in bumper to bumper. Bottom line, try all the modes and all of the settings. This is not a mod to change performance, only throttle control. Big difference! Buy a Cold Air Intake filter if your looking to improve performance among other great mods. Get this to have way way better throttle response or options. Smiles per miles!

From a brick with wheels to a true Sports Utility Vehicle!
Anyone who owns a 4Runner knows that it’s not only slow but has the aerodynamics of a brick. As such its ability to accelerate to highway speeds adequately usually involves me almost putting the throttle on the floor (not joking). I got used to its sluggish throttle response as those who bought a 4Runner knows, it’s NOT a sports car. It’s a sports UTILITY vehicle. However, I must admit that this little plug-and-play gadget had my jaw on the floor (unlike my foot on the gas) and left my expectations in the dust. By default it is set on Sports+ mode (highest setting) upon arrival which I didn’t realize until I plugged it in & barely touch my 4Runner’s throttle then it flew to nearly 25mph up my driveway & into my house. No joke, I was literally dumbfounded for a solid 3 minutes thinking how the Hell did this tiny thing make my Brick with wheels feel like a sports car?! What I also loved about this product after driving with it for quite a few months now is its adjustability. Each of the levels have so many adjustment points that one can fine tune the throttle response to one’s taste. Imagine it, custom throttle response at your finger tips. No need to imagine it because this thing does just that! I’ll admit it took a good 2-3 weeks for me to fine tune it perfectly, but now I can’t imagine driving my 4Runner without this little gadget! With all these pros I need to address a HUGE con. MPG. It does have an eco and city mode to help save you gas by decreasing throttle response thus making your vehicle get more mileage at the cost of your car feeling more sluggish. While on the other spectrum you can set it to the more sporty modes which will greatly increase the “fun” factor and responsiveness of your throttle but can TANK your MPG if you have a heavy foot. Personally, I choose the Sports mode (1 below sports+) which doesn’t give great mpg but makes my driving experience so much more enjoyable, so if I gotta fork out a bit more $$ on gas for more fun during my commutes then so be it.

Extreme power
This device is amazing. I personally do not use it for in town driving it just gives the truck too much power but for the highways, it works great.

Worth every $
Hands down the single biggest bang for your buck to completely change the power delivery of your 1st Gen Tundra. Download app, plug and play. So simple to install. Bought it for the Eco mode to save gas$. Took it for a test drive... was doing 45 in Eco mode and switched to Sport+.. it literally reacted like I hit the powerband on a 2stroke. Very impressed

Great product, not great mileage
2019 Tundra Crewmax SR5. Bought this almost 2 months ago. Easy to install. Easy to hook up to your phone.I installed this with an S&B CAI and a BAMuffler cat back exhaust. I LOVE this thing in sport/sport+. It definitely makes it more responsive and feels like the truck is a rocket. The first downfall is the sticky back that comes with it, doesn't stick. I did exactly what the instructions said, clean with alcohol swab and let dry and stick. It fell off the first day. Ended up using other double sided tape. (no big deal) The second downfall is it does NOT get you any better mileage for the most part. My average driving is my 14 mile commute to work. some country back road and some highway with a few stop lights. I was averaging 14mpg. I am still averaging 14 MPG. The unfortunate truth is these truck just don't get good gas mileage. Maybe if your commute is strictly flat cruising highway, it'll do a little better, but for the average commute, I wouldn't expect a huge increase.

Buyer beware when buying direct
This is a good lesson learned for me and I hope others can benefit from this. I will break down my review in 3 parts - product, customer service and final thoughts on why I returned it. 1) Product. Pedal commander came to me via a friend recommendation, where he spoke highly of it. As such, I decided to give it a go on my 2019 Tundra TRD OffRoad. The product worked as advertised, plug and play, no frills, the app connected and i could either change settings on the device OR via the app. I noticed though I wasn’t able to select the “eco” setting on the device, I had to do it via the app - maybe I needed to play with it more before my return window expired. 2) Customer service. I bought two units, first one from Amazon since there was a small discount, but then I returned the one from Amazon since the manufacturer posted a much better deal during thanksgiving. My return via Amazon was easy and simple as always… and I hope people learn from my lesson as things went downhill from here. The second unit I got from the manufacturer obviously worked the same and except for the serial number being different, there wasn’t really any other difference. I decided to return it because as winter started to come and Ice / Rain started to become present, I found myself spinning my back wheels most of the time. This is unsafe and not what I wanted. After doing some research, I found out the issue lies in how PC (Pedal Commander) modifies the electronic signal to go full on eliminating the delay between pressing the gas pedal and the truck sending the signal. I kinda knew this before hand, after all this is not a tuning tool but rather an “accelerator trick circuit”. The real issue came when I found out they draw voltage from the accelerator control panel and that CAN and sometimes HAS triggered a check engine issue with the car computer, leading in some cases to shut down the accelerator. This is not good at all. There are other options that modify the signal but draw power from the OBD port which is much safer from an electronics perspective. I decided that the benefit of PC vs risk wasn’t worth it, plus my own experience spinning my back wheels so I decided to return it. That’s when the experience was ruined for me and thus decided to deduct stars and leave this review. The return team first tried the tactics of “we’ll give you a discount if you keep it”, “we’ll reprogram it”, etc… I was clear that I wanted to return it. After a few more days and 2 follow up emails from me, they finally said I had to submit a form get it pre-approved and there would be a restocking fee, etc. etc. etc. The email had over 20, yes, 20! Conditions I had to meet in order to minimize penalties for returning what was essentially a brand new product. The trick here is that they dragged their feet to the day before my 30 day return window closed but since I had all emails exchange documented they had to honor the fact it was not because of me and I would still be within the return policy. Once my return was approved, I had another email full of disclosures that I had to send it back with tracking number and that I had just a few days within the notice to do, etc. etc. etc. Same red-tape. I finally told the customer service team that their demeanor, language and way to interact with clients ruined my experience and I was going to make sure people know this before hand. As of the time of me writing this review, the package has been attempted to deliver once (and failed because they were unavailable) so I’m sure I haven’t heard the end of it. They will try again the next business day and from there I hope I will only be charged for the return fee, not the restocking fee and the other “discretionary” fees once they receive the unit. The unit I bought from Amazon on the other hand, was returned easy, without problems - A+ for Amazon’s A-Z guarantee! 3) Final thoughts I am not here to advertise any product, I am just a regular consumer of goods like many of you. The product does what it advertises though the design is not the best out there. You can look for alternative similar products to achieve the same thing, in a safer way. Do your homework and if PC is for you, that’s great. It wasn’t for me. I am here to tell you that if you do buy it, buy it from Amazon as dealing with PC customer service team is a nightmare! Enough for me to never do business with them and also write a negative review, which I seldom do. PC can be a fun toy but it carries a potential risk that could jeopardize your ability to keep control of the car. Do your research and find out for yourself self. Whatever you do - just be safe, for you and the others sharing the road. Cheers!!!

A+++ in my 2016 Tundra
I just bought a used 2016 Toyota tundra double cab. Love the vehicle but the two things I didn't care for was one being how there wasn't that much giddy up when starting off driving. Always seem like there was a lag. The other being the gas mileage. The truck had nice Yoko 35x125x18 mudding tires. They definitely look nice but does not help with the mileage. When driving it back from the dealership to my house which is 3 hours away I actually got only 13 miles per the gallon according to the onboard computer. So I thought the pedal Commander couple weeks ago and installation was super quick. Took me less than 5 minutes to get it installed. Had to go test it out right away. Put it on City mode. Soon as I barely hit the gas my tire spun on the gravel. Never did that just using the factory engine. Then I put it in Sport nice. All I can say is holy ****. It is like driving a totally different vehicle. No more lag when hitting the gas pedal. If you buy this product you will love how much difference you can see right away. As for the mileage. I went ahead and first put it in City mode that has better mileage and more acceleration. Drove a 2-hour trip and on board computer said I was getting 15 MPG. My last trip that was also 2 hours I put it in economy mode. Better gas mileage and no real acceleration added. My onboard computer said I was getting 18 -19 MPG. If you get the pedal Commander that has Bluetooth built in. The app is excellent and you can preset each of the modes with however many gains you want. I highly recommend this product. Best purchase I've made with a vehicle ever.
