I like the lights, but there is a loud grinding sound made by the bulb that is impossible to ignore. It's cool to look at, but there is no way I would be able to sleep using it.

This casts a good, strong light for smaller spaces. The picture was taken from an otherwise completely darkened room and is projected 6 ft from the ceiling. There are plenty of color options to choose from. It comes with a handy remote that you can use to select either a single color or various transitions. There is one major downfall though, hence the 4-star review. The USB cord is very short...at only 2.5 ft. The cord is also not detachable, so replacing with a longer cord isn't an option. Like it but could be improved with a longer cord.

The ocean light projector is a good product.I found the light to be calming.The controls on the remote are intuitive and easy to use.ConclusionThe light is a good product.The light does change intensity and color.And the other functions on the remote work well.I got this light for my granddaughter because she likes having a night light.This light will do.

There are plenty of pics and vids up here to see the output is actually very pretty. I love ocean and wave effects and this one is really nice.2 issues for me - the remote doesnt' have a speed, or stop moving, option. The set speed is too fast for relaxing IMO. The other thing is, and this might just be my unit, is that mine came with a loud motor. I looked in the directions and they went so far as to print in the FAQ that you may get one that's loud due to shipping. Can't turn the motor off and just have the light static. hmmm. I'll be using this in a more party environment and less for relaxing and gazing at the effects.

I’m using this projector in my living room, which is very large, and it covers pretty much the whole ceiling. The remote allows you to control the colors, brightness and the various modes of light. I like to use it as ambiance lighting when I watch tv at night. It’s very relaxing.

1) you cannot unplug after charging .. it must be plugged in to work, so it has to be tethered to an outlet.2) the wavy wall action isn't consistent so it's on the closest wall, perhaps, but the rest of the room has only a light glow.3) the remote works intermittently ... no directions to help you decipher what to press for what action, so kind of annoying because the only way to judge what you like is have a light on to see the remote. Turn the lamp off, change the control button to some other combination, turn the light off and see if you like it.4) spinning off that last one ... now you have to write down the combination of buttons you pushed for the results you're achieving ...5) way too much effort for very little output.6) This is an edit after 2 months:: It stopped working. Not responding to fresh batteries in remote - it' remaining on the last color and pattern it was on.I don't hate it, I just see that it's not worth the time & trouble. I just wouldn't use it past the novelty stage of Oh what can it look like now....Same as before though: I would NOT recommend it.

Love these ocean wave projectors for creating a meditative space; they're very calming. The effects on this one are prefect and it's just bright enough--it fills a decent amount of the room I use for meditation.However, not a big fan of the cord on this one. The cord is very short and so it limits where you put it when its charging, and you can't remove the cord when it's done charging--it just doesn't look great, really. It also can only be operated by the remote, so don't lose it!
