Nine (9) Month ‘Test of Time’ Update (March 2026): Could not be happier!! This piece has held up beautifully and we love even more now. I would absolutely have zero hesitation in buying additional Wermo pieces and continue to HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Original review follows. Original Review: We purchased this 71" WERMO Walnut Sidebar to store some clothing and use as a television stand in our bedroom. It arrived the day after we ordered it on AMZN (amazing). It took me about 90 minutes to assemble. I took my time, reviewed the on-line assembly video, inventoried the parts, and staged the panels. All parts arrived and WERMO provided EXTRA parts in the event needed. Once everything was staged I had zero issues with the assembly. My wife was on standby to help with a couple of steps best served with two people (3 minutes). I encourage you to follow the instructions closely which are not complicated and include a QR code taking you to the assembly video if needed for additional support. I also recommend being diligent about not over-tightening the screws and ensuring the steel leg brackets are properly installed (there is only one correct way to install them!). I used no power tools. The end result is we are extremely satisfied with the value (assembly, cost, quality, aesthetics). We probably saved $1,000 as compared to other pieces we were considering. I am very impressed with WERMO. I read about the company on their website and viewed their factory video. They know this business. Their Customer Support is uber-responsive and helpful. The engineering of panels/pre-drilled holes/parts and how they all assemble was exceptional. The sidebar complements our existing Scandinavian-designed furniture. It is functionally perfect and looks outstanding! The only test ahead will be the test of time. I plan to revisit this review in six months and provide an update on how it is aging. I am extremely optimistic. We will not hesitate to order WERMO products again from Amazon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The short review? This is a great piece of furniture for what it is. I purchased this back when it had less than 20 reviews and felt the need to help bolster that number. I felt like I was taking a risk buying something this large and expensive with little input from past reviewers, but I’m really glad I did. It came faster than expected, it was very easy to assemble solo, and it looks great in the space I have it set up (it’s the perfect bar/buffet for a dining room). I love how much storage it has, and that the two curved ends are open to be more storage which is missing on some of the pricier versions of this from other sellers. The back panel did come slightly damaged with two clear cracks, but where it’s living and where the cracks were made them pretty irrelevant to my usage. It is just covered MDF but it doesn’t look like fake wood when it’s assembled and in your home. Also, make sure to wax the heck out of the channel with the small block they give to make the doors slide more smoothly, because they can be a bit rough otherwise. Overall, if you’re considering this it’s worth the purchase.

Attractive, lots of storage, but do not exceed weight capacity. Sliding tambor doors give easy access to entire interior. Easy to assemble. Well packaged (ours arrived with significant carton damage but the contents were unharmed).

Great customer service, handled everything with speed and care. Would buy again! I love the look, feels like good quality and ease of assembly was amazing. One of the easiest furniture builds I’ve ever done. The only drawbacks were that the back panel arrived broken (see pic) and that the doors don’t fully close. The top does, but the bottom doesn’t. I re-read the directions multiple times, reinstalled the doors, and nothing seemed to work (see pics). I want to love it and give it five stars, but between the broken back panel and the gap in the doors I can’t give it higher than two. Going to try and get in contact with Wermo to see what can be done and will update the review after.

Looks like "buffet table" is not in trend any more for list of words to describe this awesome storage cabinet which to me is still a buffet table aptly fit into my space (to the inch). Love the retro mid-mod look that matches my dining table. Installation was a breeze, but a tip from me is to wax (provided) the slider groove along with the sides of the slider before inserting them and it glides smooth. If I really have to nitpick, it's not in a very natural oak color, but a little weathered or ashed oak. Unboxing and unpacking was an absolute delight. I really commend Wermo in making an effort to pack this thing even to the last tape (or first thing you would touch to cut open the box) with use of sustainable materials. Plastics in the box is less than 1/2 percent. If unboxing apple is a joy, I would say apple should learn from them with usage of recycled-sustainable materials. All in all, I'm one very happy customer.

Very well made, well packed, thoughtful directions with extra pieces. Took my husband about 1 hour to put it together. Everyone who sees it compliments it. It’s a unique piece of furniture. Probably not gonna be an heirloom, but we’ll get the good out of it, so I’m happy.
