WJEC Mathematics for AS Level: Applied

As a tutor who tutors A-level maths in both English and Welsh I cannot recommend the WJEC A-level maths textbooks highly enough. Definitely the best A-level maths textbooks available; I use them for all my A-level maths students whether they're WJEC or not. The many detailed worked examples and the fully-worked solutions at the back of each book are just marvellous. If students work through all these examples and the worked solutions, they will get an A.My only criticisms are1: there is no index,2: there are no electronic versions available, which is a major problem in this age of coronavirus and Zoom tutorials. We need textbooks that we can share on screen with our students during tutorials; the publisher really needs to move into the 21st century and make Kindle versions available.

This book has really helped me to grasp my concept of As level statistics and mechanics. It successfully breaks down topics, explaining them in sizeable chunks that are easy to learn and understand. The test yourself questions are really useful. I would definitely recommend this text book.

The two WJEC AS maths textbooks make learning the subject easy and are a must have.

This is a really good revision guide for the new maths exams including test yourself pages and separate answers.

Perfect for WJECs new AS Level, good hints and tips included too. Lots of practice questions in each chapter.

Great help for anyone doing a levels. So easy to use.
