After this product dries, is it heat resistant? I plan to use it on the grill so it will get really hot.

ProtectaClear is the correct coating product for a grill. It is good it heat up to 550 F degree's and at 600F degree's it will gas off. Be sure you purchase ProtectaClear and not the Everbrite for the grill.

Can Everbrite be used on galvanized steel like a automotive gas tank ?

Everbrite can be used on galvanized steel to protect the metal from fading and it will also protect from rust and corrosion. Everbrite is clear so the galvanized metal will show through.

Can this be used on rusty metal birdbath?

Yes, Everbrite will seal birdbaths to prevent further rust. Do you want to keep and seal the rust or are you looking to remove the rust? Either way, Everbrite will work to seal the metal.
