My previous Rove dash cam lasted about 5 years, and it was a hard 5 years for it. I only used the window suction cup thing to attach to the windshield so it wasn't "permanent," and it was always flying off, rightfully so, when it was too hot/cold/bumpy... so it took a LOT of abuse, smashing against my doors/dash. I was content with how long it lasted - I don't expect any tech devices to last longer than 5 years at this point. Given I had a good experience with that one, I decided to upgrade to a new Rove dash cam. Enter the Rove R2-4K Dual. I figured it would be cool to have the rear view as well this time around. Picture is nice, setup is very quick and easy. The app is definitely an improvement over the last one on my older Rove dash cam. The price point is great for someone looking to get a decent quality dash cam for some added protection. I started having issues with screen flashing and then startup issues, where it wouldn't load the picture and just get stuck on the home/loading screen with the Rove logo. It was spotty and fixed itself, so I just kept chugging along. After a few months, it was a daily occurrence... the troubleshooting I found online didn't fix it, so I reached out to Rove. The customer support was very quick to respond, very thorough, and very easy to troubleshoot with. I did everything they asked, but was still having issues. Since it was most likely an internal issue, they replaced my unit with a new one! I appreciate the responsiveness of the support team, and the fact that they stand by their product means a lot. Even though I had an issue, I would still recommend this product. Manufacturing issues happen. Software issues happen. Hardware issues happen. That's just life with all of our disposable gadgets... BUT I give Rove a lot of credit for providing the support that they do and for standing behind their product to resolve issues like this. I have had zero issues so far with the new unit, and hopefully we stay that way! I haven't experienced any flashing or startup issues, so I think this one is good to go. There would have been signs by now.

I recently installed a video dashcam, and it has been one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my vehicle. The video quality is excellent—clear during both daytime and nighttime driving—making it easy to capture license plates and important details on the road. I also appreciate how seamlessly it starts recording automatically when I turn on the car, so I never have to worry about missing anything. Overall, I highly recommend investing in a dashcam. Great camera, easy to install and easy to use. Plenty of cable to run both cameras front and back then to power source. My turns on automatically when I open the door and starts recording. The only flaw in my opinion is that you can only turn ALL visible icons are leave them ALL on, you can’t pick and chose. I would like to only have the speed and the directional compass on and turn everything else.. but that’s just me. I would also like to have the ability to view, download videos remotely buts that not an option. This can only be done when your with about 10 feet of the car and it’s turn on.

We purchased the ROVE R2-4K Dual Dash Cam for our work truck while doing overnight security patrols. It’s currently being used during patrol shifts and will also stay in our truck when we travel with our travel trailer. The setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. The video quality is impressive — the 4K front camera produces sharp, full-color footage that makes details easy to see, even at night. The rear camera also provides good coverage. The mount feels stable and hasn’t shifted during normal driving. We’ve been using it for about two months now, and it has been running consistently without any glitches or recording issues. One feature we especially like is the built-in WiFi and phone app, which allows you to review and download footage directly to your phone without removing the card. The included 128GB memory card was also a nice bonus. It also offers options for GPS, speed display, and interior recording depending on how you want to configure it. One limitation is that the dash cam WiFi can compete with your vehicle’s WiFi when pairing to the phone, which can take a moment to sort out. Overall, this has been a solid dash cam so far with clear video and useful features for both work and travel.

Excellent quality and so happy with this product that I bought it 3 times for family vehicles. Super intuitive and easy setup, ready to go out of the box and works awesome. From what I know, this is most definitely among the best budget options for anyone looking for a dual front and rear dashcams. The Customer Service is also super helpful and responsive if you ever need any support. The only improvement I would make personally is to include more cable hiding clips. 5 doesn't cut it. 10 would be more optimal as to be able to neatly tuck in the cables without worrying about running out midway.

Easy setup. Excellent instructions. Great value for the price. I purchased two, and have installed one in an suv and the other in a car. Cable length is more than enough to go from front to back along the headliner in the suv, and I was able to run the cable down the a-pillar and along the sill plates up the c-pillar with plenty of room to spare in the car. Picture quality is excellent.

Good camera with impressive performance for its price. The image quality is clear and reliable for everyday use. What really stands out is the excellent support from the vendor—they were responsive and helpful whenever needed. Overall, it offers great value for money and I would definitely recommend it.

Quality camera with lots of extra features. The clarity on the camera recording is excellent. It comes with a proper manual, not one of those two inch versions you cannot read. You will need to follow directions in order to set it up as it can get confusing. It records in front of you and has a camera you set on the back window to record vehicles coming up from behind you. Quality is seen overall with this camera. Older people/seniors might find it harder to set up but if you follow instructions and read what the buttons do on the camera, you should make out ok. Know you have to purchase the parking sensor separately if you want the camera to record while parked. This feature works on impact jarring in areas like parking lots or underground parking. I would recommend the camera as it does record great quality recordings. Had no issues with the seller and everything promised, came. Turns on automatically when the key is on and shuts off once you open the doors, as to not drain the battery. These days, dash cameras are a must have because there are too many reckless drivers out there and if a cop accuses you on running a red light or not stopping, you can refer to the recorded evidence you now have.
