My previous Rove dash cam lasted about 5 years, and it was a hard 5 years for it. I only used the window suction cup thing to attach to the windshield so it wasn't "permanent," and it was always flying off, rightfully so, when it was too hot/cold/bumpy... so it took a LOT of abuse, smashing against my doors/dash. I was content with how long it lasted - I don't expect any tech devices to last longer than 5 years at this point. Given I had a good experience with that one, I decided to upgrade to a new Rove dash cam. Enter the Rove R2-4K Dual. I figured it would be cool to have the rear view as well this time around. Picture is nice, setup is very quick and easy. The app is definitely an improvement over the last one on my older Rove dash cam. The price point is great for someone looking to get a decent quality dash cam for some added protection. I started having issues with screen flashing and then startup issues, where it wouldn't load the picture and just get stuck on the home/loading screen with the Rove logo. It was spotty and fixed itself, so I just kept chugging along. After a few months, it was a daily occurrence... the troubleshooting I found online didn't fix it, so I reached out to Rove. The customer support was very quick to respond, very thorough, and very easy to troubleshoot with. I did everything they asked, but was still having issues. Since it was most likely an internal issue, they replaced my unit with a new one! I appreciate the responsiveness of the support team, and the fact that they stand by their product means a lot. Even though I had an issue, I would still recommend this product. Manufacturing issues happen. Software issues happen. Hardware issues happen. That's just life with all of our disposable gadgets... BUT I give Rove a lot of credit for providing the support that they do and for standing behind their product to resolve issues like this. I have had zero issues so far with the new unit, and hopefully we stay that way! I haven't experienced any flashing or startup issues, so I think this one is good to go. There would have been signs by now.

I recently installed a video dashcam, and it has been one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my vehicle. The video quality is excellent—clear during both daytime and nighttime driving—making it easy to capture license plates and important details on the road. Great camera, easy to install and easy to use. Plenty of cable to run both cameras front and back then to power source. My turns on automatically when I open the door and starts recording. The only flaw in my opinion is that you can only turn ALL visible icons are leave them ALL on, you can’t pick and chose. I would like to only have the speed and the directional compass on and turn everything else.. but that’s just me. I would also like to have the ability to view, download videos remotely buts that not an option. This can only be done when your with about 10 feet of the car and it’s turn on.

We purchased the ROVE R2-4K Dual Dash Cam for our work truck while doing overnight security patrols. It’s currently being used during patrol shifts and will also stay in our truck when we travel with our travel trailer. The setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. The video quality is impressive — the 4K front camera produces sharp, full-color footage that makes details easy to see, even at night. The rear camera also provides good coverage. The mount feels stable and hasn’t shifted during normal driving. We’ve been using it for about two months now, and it has been running consistently without any glitches or recording issues. One feature we especially like is the built-in WiFi and phone app, which allows you to review and download footage directly to your phone without removing the card. The included 128GB memory card was also a nice bonus. It also offers options for GPS, speed display, and interior recording depending on how you want to configure it. One limitation is that the dash cam WiFi can compete with your vehicle’s WiFi when pairing to the phone, which can take a moment to sort out. Overall, this has been a solid dash cam so far with clear video and useful features for both work and travel.

I have owned Garmin, Rexing and Thinkware cams in past. I now own 3 Rove Dual 2-4k cams. What a difference! I’ve paid a lot more $$ for other brands and they simply don’t compare. Rove pic quality is the best! Interface is easy/simple. Install easy and unlike my experience with other brands the app is extremely fast to share, download and review. I initially did not hardwire any because I thought it would be difficult. It was not and now I have parking mode in all 3 of my vehicles. Dont be fooled by low cost…they are amazing cams!

Easy setup. Excellent instructions. Great value for the price. I purchased two, and have installed one in an suv and the other in a car. Cable length is more than enough to go from front to back along the headliner in the suv, and I was able to run the cable down the a-pillar and along the sill plates up the c-pillar with plenty of room to spare in the car. Picture quality is excellent.

Installation was so simple. They give you the tool to hide the wires. I do advise buying the hardware kit and a larger memory card 128 gb is only good for 3 hours. It is very easy to setup and use. I love using the app super easy to change your settings and view and delete videos. Also great for parking mode because with the hardware kit it has a shutoff so it does not drain your battery! Thank you for making a nice plug and play system!

Good camera with impressive performance for its price. The image quality is clear and reliable for everyday use. What really stands out is the excellent support from the vendor—they were responsive and helpful whenever needed. Overall, it offers great value for money and I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent product, well packaged with all components required for easy install and operation. Well written comprehensive manual and quick access QR codes to site/ registration etc. Additional app for GPS viewing with extra details on laptop very handy Highly recommended
