Unuseable. The laptop failed to install commonly available applications - for example Kasprersky anti-virus, Epson printer/scanner drivers, Microsoft SQL Server Express. I gave up after that! Kaspersky tech support advised that the AMD Snapdragon CPU was not compatible. I contacted Dell support and was told that the CPU is not yet widely supported, but that Dell technicians 'are working on it'. Dell would not exchange the laptop for one with a compatible CPU. Surely if a device is brought to market with such a severe limitation then that should be made clear to prospective purchasers. I did not see a mention of this issue in the Amazon product description.

The media could not be loaded. Bought the 9345 direct from Dell, went for the Snapdragon X Elite processor, 1TB SSD, 64Gb of memory all in all £1.7k, it was delivered 1st July 2025. I was delighted, I had some issues with some apps being incompatible with the Snapdragon processor, but managed to work around it.Week three the fan failed and started clicking like a stuck CD but twice a second or so. Fine I thought, it’s under warranty Dell have always been good previously they will sort this quickly.After some confusion when their service engineer didn’t turn up when expected, they first tried to send me the new part to fit myself. Then they told me that they would only fit a reconditioned part, not a new part.I did some research and apparently this is standard across the industry. Perhaps if they had explained a little more up front about the use of reconditioned parts I wouldn’t have gone ballistic.Anyway service tech booked due as soon as the part is in.I’ve raised this from one star because when it was working I was delighted with it. I will up the stars again when it’s fully finished.Still not happy that a key part failed within 3 weekss though
