Great pillow and great sleep
After having the same memory foam pillow for 10 years it was time for a new one. I tried a few different brands and just didn’t like any until I bought the Tempur-pedic. It was definitely stiff at first it after a couple weeks of use it broke in great and I even like it more than my old one. I sleep great with it and would recommend it.

Great pillow..
I bought this pillow twice a long time ago. Back then, it was a bit larger and as I recall, a bit softer. This one seems a bit too firm at first, but as it’s used for awhile it breaks in and gets a lot more comfortable. I think it’s overpriced, but I have 2 herniated discs in my neck, so my pillow must maintain the alignment of my neck to prevent stiffness and pain. The pillow is approx 5” high, which is the low height standard. It’s the best pillow so far, to provide me with the alignment and comfort I need. I also sleep through the night much better with it, so I do recommend it, especially for those who have neck problems..

Review for Previous Symphony owners on the fence!
So this review is for those who have previously owned the Symphony, given all the current debate in the reviews. This pillow is NOT like the previous Symphony. I have owned the symphony all the way back to my first in 2009. HOWEVER...it's not all bad. I still like this new version. I definitely like the price of this Amazon order compared to the $99 tempur-pedic store tag (which are currently out of stock and have to be shipped anyways). Even on a BOGO at the tempur-pedic store. The “Very Good Used" I bought beats that price and was in pristine condition when it arrived. The shape is still the iconic Symphony look. The shape is what I have always loved, it's perfect for back and side sleeping. The loft seems ever so slightly lower, but still adequate. If the lower loft bothers you I suggest supplementing the height with a Bamboo Miracle pillow underneath (with most of the shredded foam removed). This works for watching TV in bed or needing the occasional extra height. The foam weight and density are the primary differences. This symphony is noticeably lighter. It just doesn't have that heft the earlier ones did. The nature of this new foam feels different against the head. If you're trying to compare in stores and don't have access to a Symphony, the softness and density of this molded foam compares to the cloud. The old Symphony in my opinion is more like the current Pro Adapt models. All this being said, so far (a week in) I like this new model better. I easily develop neck and sciatic pain with the wrong pillow support. I have always favored soft to the touch pillows but end up missing the support the lack. I loved my original Symphonys. They are the only pillows in my purchases that have made it to the 5 year mark on their warranty. But after the symphony redesign, all the negative reviews caused me to seek other pillows. I tried so many; the Kohl's Big One side sleeper, The Lucid hybrid, Serta, the Sleep Angel, The Miracle Bamboo Pillow etc...etc...They always last about a year (if I'm lucky) and I move on to a new one. I finally got sick of the failure and figured the higher price tag and mixed reviews of tempur-pedic was worth going back to. Bottom-Line - This pillow has a soft feel but it still supports my head and neck. It has the iconic tempur sink and collapse but with a spring'ier response back after lifting up. It doesn't have as firm or dense a feel against the head, so if that was your thing on the previous model...this might not be for you. It really does have a “cloud” effect. It holds you there, but you don't notice a push back. I personally like the new feel..but I was the type that secretly wished the original felt softer. I have noticed using this pillow I am out cold for the night. Others I toss and turn and adjust and never really hit that deep sleep. That makes it a great buy for myself! I will be curious to see how the cloud foam holds up over time. My worry is if it starts soft...and most foam softens over time, I may lose that needed support. Time will tell. *UPDATE - item started causing a lot of neck and shoulder pain. It was returned. On to try the Serta Perfect Curve and the Ikea KLUBBSPORRE

Better sleep here I come
Love the item and so worth it, but went on sale less than 2 days later by $30! (The day they were delivered). Still 10/10 recommend. These are fabulous pillows and I can’t wait to see how they help improve my life/ sleep 😴 Just see if there is an upcoming sale before making the purchase!

Excellent pillow
Our rheumatologist recommended it. My husband gives it two thumbs up. Says he's sleeping more comfortably: pinched nerve in neck made it nearly impossible to get restful sleep.

Not what it used to be.
I bought this to replace my original symphony pillow. I was worried when this arrived and weighed practically nothing. My original pillow was a 5 pound brick....I travelled everywhere with it love it.....my brick is 8 years old and started to notice it was starting to get thin hence the purchase of this new one. My first night sleeping on it I immediately noticed that when I placed my head on it, it would dam near flatten out.....to the point where it feels as though my neck is not supported. Now I have a herniated disc in my neck so proper neck support is crucial for me....it literally means the difference between a good nights sleep and waking up not being able to feel my right hand. So, night one.....not comfortable...kept adjusting the pillow to find the sweet spot.....woke up with a stiff neck. Night 2, maybe slightly better but still woke up with a stiff neck.....night 3, said forget it and went back to my trusty brick.....I feel the density of the original 8 year pillow provided me much better neck support....this one is not stiff enough for me.....If I did not have my disc problem I suspect this pillow would be just fine.. hope this helps

Not what it used to be at all
This pillow is absolute trash. I wish I listened to the other bad reviews. I first got the Tempur-pedic symphony pillow in 2011 and had it until recently. It was the perfect pillow and I never had any neck pain when using it. But it was old and getting gross so I decided to throw it away and get a new one. Worst mistake of my life. The new one is nothing like the old one. It's hard to explain but this one is harder and lighter and when you press down on it it takes longer to return to original form, so it gets super flat while sleeping. Not like the old one that would conform perfectly and instantly and was firm but also soft at the same time. My neck started hurting within minutes of laying on it and I couldn't get comfortable at all. If you are looking to replace your old one just don't. You're probably thinking what I did - I'm sure it's not that much different, how bad could it be? Trust me, it's an absolute crap pillow now.

No more waking up in pain!
Love these pillows!!! The height is perfect, and the contoured side is great for side sleeping. It is a firm pillow, which works for me because I need the support. I haven’t had any neck pain, nor have I woken up with a headache since I’ve been using them. They did need to off gas for a few days, but after that I haven’t noticed any off gassing odors. I highly recommend this pillow for people with neck pain/injuries.

It's by no means the perfect pillow, but it's comfortable, and it lets you sink in really easily, without bouncing back while you're on it. As a stomach sleeper, I never fall asleep on my side or back, and tend to find it uncomfortable, but this was pillow might change all that for me. If this ever stops being the case, I will update this review. (current date feb11, 2024)

Not sure why this product costs so expensive in SG dept stores but it's definitely worth buying. Best pillow in the world hands down. Plus it's super affordable when it's on sale. Medium firm, just what you need for every sleeping position, side or back. No more neck aches. I recommended it to many friends and they loved it too.
