Good choice
Very sturdy and padded. I just wish the spindles were a bit taller.

This thing is a workhorse and well made!
My stand was stolen - STOLEN from the last concert we played. IT. HAD. MY. NAME. ON. IT. This tells you how wonderful these stands are. The stand is really sturdy. No concerns about tipping here. The pegs fit my flute, piccolo and oboe or clarinet (depending). You can also get additional pegs and features if you need them. I like how it folds up and you can throw it in your instrument backpack. If you have a skinnier instrument backpack, you can just unscrew the pegs and the company provides you a handy yellow stand bag to keep your stand and the pegs in it. It's so nice to see a company that pays attention to detail. But make sure that no creep steals yours!

The best stand out there
What more can I say! It's the best stand out there. I used some other cheaper, smaller stands but they were either of terribly low quality or I was worried about them getting knocked over. None of that here! Thing is sturdy as a...well, whatever is sturdy! Sure, it's a bit bulky to carry around to and from rehearsals, but it's worth it!

Works very well and is extremely sturdy
I highly recommend this, as it's very sturdy and will not easily tip over, if at all, and holds three instruments at a time, so I can set up my flute and clarinet for lessons, and not have to dismantle and reassemble in between lessons, but it also has the third spike to hold my student's instrument while we are going over theory, etc. I replaced one of these "spikes" with the flute stand by the same company that has the spring loaded mount, which I prefer for my flute, but the ones that come with this work fantastically well too. Nice fabric covers each spike, so no chance of scratching or otherwise marring expensive instruments. I love this and only wish I had known about it years ago in my music studio. It would've saved many minutes over the years of dismantling and reassembling instruments in between various lessons, as I never leave my flute especially laying on a surface because of the risk of it being handled by a younger student, or being accidentally knocked off by students or parents. This allows me to rest the instruments on it in a corner on the floor safely, rather than having to set down on fireplace mantle, couch, or piano bench, or dismantling to store in case...

Good quality
I use this to hold a Bb clarinet, A clarinet, and an Eb clarinet on the piccolo peg. Works great, very sturdy. The pegs have a velvety coating on them so they don't scratch up the inside of the instrument. The Eb clarinet is a little wobbly on the piccolo peg, not surprising since that's not what it was made for, but the peg is tall enough that I am not worried about it falling off even if the stand got bumped. The stand never leaves my office, but if I was gigging regularly it would be easy to quickly disassemble and pack up - unscrew the pegs, fold up the legs.

Works great for my tenor recorder, a little loose for my bass recorder
I'm using this for my Yamaha plastic recorder set and it works great. The alto fits on the thinner spike (I haven't tried the soprano yet but I rarely play that one), the tenor and bass fit on the thicker spike. The thicker spike is a bit short for the bass and the bass is heavy enough that if it's the only instrument on the stand it will fall over if I'm not careful. Appears to be sturdily built, and overall appears to be good quality. I wish it had a different locking mechanism for the arms, the buttons are hard for me to push down far enough to close it up for traveling, but I really like how compact it is for taking to gigs.

A must have
I use this stand on a daily basis. I practice my flute and then my piccolo. The stand fits both instruments perfectly. It is a great way to have them accessible and safe all at the same time. The stand is solid on my table, hardwood floor, and carpeted floor. It is a worry free necessity for my daily practice.
