This is a great starter kit for someone like me who is just starting their sourdough journey. It includes everything you will need except the Dutch oven! Everything is made well and I love the proofing baskets especially. Only thing missing is a printed instruction booklet. I’ve had to watch videos in order to fully understand how to make the starter and keep it going. But I use almost all of the items. One other thing though, a larger and wider starter jar would be better. I’ve had to buy this separately.

This sourdough starter is has everything you need for all of your needs! From making your own starter, to proofing and even flouring your loaf. There are also instructions on how to use your basket and a recipe for bread! I really enjoy the glass jar and how easy it is to see if your starter has doubled. I would recommend this set to others.

This kit is such a great addition to my sourdough setup. The 9" round and 10" oval bannetons are the perfect sizes for standard loaves, and they give that beautiful, classic spiral pattern once baked. The baskets feel sturdy and well-made, not flimsy or loosely woven. My dough releases cleanly with a light dusting of flour, and the shape holds beautifully during proofing. I’ve used both sizes and love having the option depending on the style of loaf I’m making. If you’re getting into sourdough or looking to upgrade from makeshift bowls and towels, this set makes the process feel more intentional (and the finished loaves look bakery-level). Great quality for the price and exactly what I was hoping for.

Excellent value for money. All of the components of this kit are well made and buying them individually would cost significantly more than the price of this starter kit. The banneton baskets are excellent, and I use the dough scraper, bowl scraper, bread lame, silicone spatula, and flour dredger every time I'm baking. The linen bread bag is also great when I take a couple of loaves to my parish for after-mass brunch.

I bought this kit mainly because it includes several sourdough tools in one package. Overall, the kit is good and most of the items have worked well so far. However, I was disappointed with the dough whisk. After the third use, it came loose from the handle and became unusable. The rest of the tools have held up fine and are useful for sourdough baking. It’s a nice starter kit, but the quality of the dough whisk could definitely be improved.
