Great rock and mineral kit
I bought this for my daughter, who is learning about minerals and rocks in class right now. I was surprised that when it came in, I didn't have to sort the rocks and try to figure out which was what. They were already labeled and in each slot. It came with a full-color booklet to help you learn a little more about each one. There's 9 stones that are polished that sit in the first row and you can compare those to their unpolished counterparts below. So you can expect to get 2 of the same rocks, 1 polished and 1 unpolished. I think this is a cool idea because it gives you an idea of how the stone changes shape and luster with polishing and forming the stone. I would recommend this for anyone who loves rocks.

My Little Rock Star Geologist! 🪨💎
My son is autistic and obsessed with geology — and this set was a total jackpot! It kept him busy for hours (which, if you’re a special needs parent, you know is basically a miracle). He examined every rock like a scientist on a caffeine rush, named a few of them, and declared himself the “CEO of Rocks.” The quality was great, and the variety kept him totally engaged. I now have rocks on my kitchen table, in his pockets, the washing machine (oops), and under my pillow. Totally worth it. If your kid loves science, collecting things, or just enjoys turning your living room into a mini excavation site, this is the set for you!

I got this for my nephews for Christmas. It's need but I should have paid attention to the poor packaging. If used a lot, it will fall apart quickly and the rocks aren't glued in, which is fine, as long as you are aware so if you drop it..
