Positive: Nice product. All the parts were present with extras left over. Used on my Honda CR-V.Negative: tool broke after 1 "bolt" installed. Not sure where to find a new one.

As pointed out by other reviewers, this package contained enough parts to secure the plates on both my car and my wife's, and the selection of different hardware worked for both an older domestic car and a newer import. And yes, the tool required is still sufficiently uncommon to help alleviate the casual thief who is unlikely to be that well equipped. But the good point is also the bad one, because the supplied tool is poor. The Allen Wrench style doesn't provide sufficient leverage on it own, especially since the tool head is only on the one end. So it's difficult to properly tighten the screws, and what's the point of security screws if you can't tighten them properly?

My kit came without the plastic caps. And the bolts and nuts are different sizes. You can see from the picture you don't get anywhere near enough nuts for the bolts; that should have been my first clue. Stay away from this set.

I bought this set because it had spanner drive bolts and screws. A spanner screw driver is not commonly carried by license plate thieves. I had a problem installing the rear plate on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. The nuts in the rear hatch frame are recessed and the 6m x 20mm bolts provided are not long enough to catch the threads. I could not install the dealer license plate frame with the plate. Now I have to buy 6m x 30 mm bolts for it all to work. Good luck finding spanner drive bolts. If I do, it will probably cost $10 to ship 50 cents worth of bolts.

Someone attempted to steal the license plates off the car in my driveway. Thanks to my dog barking they only got one screw out and almost got the other one out. I bought this product and secured both front and back plates on my vehicle and wife's car. The screws replace existing screws making for easy fix. Security head requires special bit to remove. Kit includes everything you need to replace existing license plate screws. Now it is very hard to steal my plates.

It really needs a 'T' handle, or a regular driver shaped handle (like a screwdriver). Very tedious to use the little 'L' wrench. That said, one is generally not going to be taking off and putting on their license plate altogether that often, so it's sort of a one-time inconvenience. I do wish they gave five of each type of fastener, so that there would be a spare, just in case...

bought this for 2 license plates and there are plenty items for my purposes. The security features are great and the plastic covers are a good touch. Only issue was the size of the screw head, had to use the plastic cover if I wanted it to look well and cover the whole hole...may just be an issue with the license frame that I was mounting.

2/5 - Below AverageThe hardware (screws) is fine, but the caps are made of cheap stamped plastic. It will likely look rough in a few months.I would have much preferred metal (aluminum/stainless steel) caps, which is what I assumed I was getting. Disappointed.
