Can I watch a solar eclipse with these?

Would this be good if I'm working night shift and have to wake up at noon to go to an outdoor restroom in a desert? My old sunglasses where dark enoug

odd, question, but I have spent a lot of time in the desert and know where you are coming from, yes. They are not real comfortable but they would work for that.

How dark are the lenses on these? Also, how comfortable are they to wear?

well they are oacetyl goggles. so they are pretty dark. darker than dark sunglasses. not dark enough to arcweld. i wore mine at burning man and they did perfect there. you are able to take the dark lenses out and just wear the clear ones. I tried to find a lighter shade but no real luck yet. could make something if you wanted using plastic. also they are fairly comfy, i had an older pair from 50's that were better fitting, these are shaped a bit differently, but im sure it depends on the shape of your face.

Has anybody tried wearing these on a motorcycle?

I haven't ridden with them. But wearing them for longer than 20-30 mins is a little uncomfortable on the nose. I have used them for sunglasses though, and I do like them.
