The Petfolio 24 Pack Scat Mats have officially saved my sanity and probably my relationship. My girlfriend's cat and I have a long running love hate thing going, mostly because she thinks every surface in the house belongs to her. These mats finally put a stop to the turf war. They are easy to place, easy to clean, and tough enough to survive the dramatic tantrums of a cat who has just discovered the concept of boundaries. For the first time, my shelves, counters, and gear are safe. If you live with a furry little anarchist, these things are vital. Five stars

I live in a feral cat community, cats on my car and outside my townhome. I've got these on the ground and on the car, no more cats. They work perfectly.

This is the only thing that works to keep my cats from harassing my mouse tanks. They used to jump on top of them to watch the mice, but with these they don’t. They don’t have the best connectors so if you need to connect a couple smaller cut pieces it’s not amazing, but they overlap easy enough so it’s not a huge problem. And they’re just plastic, so don’t actually hurt the cats if they do jump on them (which they never do) which I appreciate

This has really helped with keeping our cat off of areas we want him to stay off of. Easy to cut into desired size. The points are just sharp enough, but not too sharp.

My cats outsmarted these

I have a brat of a Maine coon cat who thinks the house is his kingdom and he can go where he wants. But I have a rule that cats are not allowed to be walking around on any surface that isn't meant for sitting or laying on. I have to keep him off of tables and countertops and this product is working the best for both of us so far. I used shock mats, but they're finicky and low quality. If you're not careful what you're doing, you might get zapped too, and it made us wary to ever touch or move the mats around. The mats would stop working if you even gently picked it up to move it, and you'd have to reset it and turn it on again. I tried double sided carpet tape which worked to keep the cat off the counters, but I can't put double sided tape on my glass dining room table. It's not removable and I had to work around it in the kitchen when I had it on the counters. My mechanic husband also had fun leaving dirty fingerprints all over the sticky tape, making it unsightly and dirty. I like these prickle mats because I can customize them to fit any area I need them on. They stack nicely on top of each other and I ziptie them together so that I can just pull them all off in one shape. The cat can't walk on them so he's been staying away. When I need to use a counter or table, I simply take off the mats and set them aside, or hang them on a hook until I'm done, then I set them back down. So far the cat has respected them and we are now both happy :)

Didn't work for us. Purchased it to keep the dog off the table. The mats come with some metal U stakes, but I'm not going to stake it into the table or the floor of my house. We tried securing the mat with our own twine and wrapping it very shoddily around the underside of the table (which luckily we could do, I'm not sure how you would do secure it otherwise, maybe some non-permanent tape?). It moves very easily wherever it is placed, so I don't see it working as a viable solution in any scenario without permanently fixing it to that surface. If you do, it's very tedious to remove it. It also doesn't blend in with well if you have to affix it this way. I suppose I'm not creative enough to use it, or else the mat is just not for my use case (keeping the dog off the side table). Others seemed to have figured it out!

Got these mats to ward off a pesky neighbors cat that kept coming up to the patio door glass in the middle of night and disturbing our indoor cat. Stacked them two deep with a couple of bricks to prevent the system from blowing away in the wind (mats are light weight). Put up the Ring Cam and the following night saw Mr. Tom Cat try his normal antics of smashing into the glass and screaming bloody heck, but the mats thwarted him. He tried jumping into the glass from the doubled up mat distance and bounced back landing onto the mat spikies. Last time he tried that.😂 Now he comes around and stays his distance for only brief moments instead of hours trying to fight our cat thru the glass.

I have been trying to keep my cat away from places like my work desk, plants, couch etc. Decided to give this product a shot and it works! Easy to cut, comes with staples for me to fix into my potted plants. Humane way to deter my kitty.

After having my cats peeing everywhere inside they are now not doing so. Bought this as a deterrent, one touch of the spikes and they were not a fan. No more peeing where they shouldn’t. More effective and humane compared to the electronic static mats.

This has kept cat from climbing up the TV and away from house plants.

We use them to keep possums out of our vegetable garden and they work well. The only thing stopping me from getting more is the price.
