I was sanding the skirting board of my stairs after a coat of plaster had dried on it. For context, my skirting is an old style that is attached to the stairs, so I could not remove it. I could not see the skirting because the plaster was covering the top part, and my skirting is a bit ornate, so I needed something that could sand at different angles. I tried many other brands of sandpaper that were lying around the house, but only this one worked. Not only that, but it is fantastic and it felt like it never wore out. I was almost expecting to buy another set or so, but it worked like magic. I highly recommend this product, along with a lot of patience, of course. You can do it !

I'm more than happy with the quality of this sanding block. Without a doubt an another brilliant Bosch product. I would definitely purchase again.

Only really wanted it for sanding a bit of coving but honestly, I've used every different edge on multiple things. Good tip is to vacuum the surface of the block after sanding to get the residue off, it helps to unclog the surface.

Dovevo levigare porte e finestre prima di riverniciarle, senza arrivare al legno ma solo togliere la patina lucida della vernice. Il problema principale erano le finestre: hanno molte parti arrotondate, sottili soprattutto vicino al vetro, impossibili da lavorare con levigatrici (tonde, quadrate o con mouse a punta triangolare). Ho provato inizialmente con carta vetrata a mano, ma era scomodo: si rompeva facilmente e il risultato non era soddisfacente perchè c'erano punti in cui il contatto era maggiore e quindi toglievo troppo colore e altri che non erano per niente carteggiati). Queste spugne abrasive sono state la svolta. La forma è perfetta: il taglio a 90° e l’angolo acuto permettono di lavorare bene anche nei punti stretti, come la sottile cornice che blocca il vetro. La parte arrotondata invece si adatta benissimo a tutte le curve. Di fatto con una spugna avete molteplici utilizzi! La grana è ideale per questo tipo di lavoro: rimuove la lucidità senza essere troppo aggressiva, quindi non serve arrivare al legno. Io le ho usate anche sul lato esterno per togliere lo strato superficiale prima di applicare un impregnante e il risultato è stato ottimo. Non rigano il legno e lasciano una superficie già liscia, senza bisogno di passaggi successivi con carta più fine. Altro punto forte è la durata: con una sola spugna ho fatto quasi 10 finestre. Con la carta vetrata avrei speso molto di più perché si rompe facilmente. Inoltre, quando si riempie di polvere, basta soffiarla o scuoterla per pulirla. Ho provato anche la grana più fine, ma per un uso domestico è quasi eccessiva: si intasa velocemente e la differenza su legno già trattato è minima. Probabilmente ha più senso usarla su legno grezzo, magari come finitura insieme alla carta vetrata.
