Though I wouldn't scrape my own teeth with the sharp tools directly, i have found other uses for them. It's good to have this as a standby instruments for those having large gap in between teeth. Sometimes when all efforts fail to dislodge the food particle stuck between teeth, these instruments come handy. However one should have the practice to use them or may get injured & infected in the process.
