Quantum QHM636 Portable Laptop/Desktop USB Powered Multimedia Wooden Speaker with AUX Input (Black)

The speakers just arrived today and it is perhaps too early to write a review. However, the sound quality is such that I am compelled to write one. This one is a really nice product and at Rs 468 (with free delivery) it can compare favorably against much more expensive speakers. The sound is clear, very well-balanced and nicely warm. It is a joy to listen to classical music with it (listening to a brilliant sitar-violin jugalbandi as I write it). The bass is clean and not at all overpowering. I have not yet checked it against FLAC files, but for high-quality youtube videos, it is doing a more than decent job. Only major complaint is the length of the cables. Very short. Might work for someone who places the speaker right next to a laptop. But someone who has the CPU on the floor and the monitor on the table, it is just not long enough to keep the speakers on the table. So I had to purchase extension cables for both the 3.5 mm jack and the USB, which together cost me more than 1/3 of the price of the speaker! But it is just worth it. Overall, if you are ready to live with the short cables and listen primarily to soft music or classical music, then go for it. This product is unbeatable at this price point.

I bought the quantum speakers for Rs 479. I have been using it from last 3 months. I have connected it to my personal computer. And in last 3 months, I didn't find much issues with it. Let me share my opinion and experience of these speakers. First of all, one must keep one thing in mind, these speakers only cost Rs 479, so one can't expect high end quality experience. But, here are some good points of these speakers. 1) Each speaker has 1 tweeter and 1 mid range speaker, which should have frequency range of 120 hertz to 20khertz(just an assumption). 2) Highs and mids are really good. So, one can clearly understand vocals in a movie, show or music. 3) Lows are not that great, if you're expecting a thumping sound, then you shouldn't buy. 4) Lows are good enough and it doesn't shatter on high volume. 5) The sound doesn't crack at high volumes. So, overall good speakers and for Rs 479, it's not a bad deal, if using as computer speakers.

These are a proper value for money speakers. I bought them for listening to morning Bhajan Kirtan and they have been great with loud, distortion free sound. They can go really loud. Plus they are a looker with their wooden cabinets. Comes with a volume control knob and can be powered using any USB adaptor. The cable could've been a bit longer though. I tried them with some music and there's satisfactory bass, not that thumping boom obviously but you can listen to the beats properly. I wasn't expecting much considering the price but these surprised me. Recommended if you have space considerations and want a loud and inexpensive good looking set of speakers.

If you looking for quality, please take my word and don't buy this, this is not a enough good quality speaker. First of all the biggest lie is this is not made of wood so that's a scam right there, it is made of cardboard so not a good thing for a speaker and it doesn't resonate well, and second thing is the bass which is rediculusly low and the sound of this really trashy(distorted) and really trebely and it's not so loud, and major down side is the wire which is really really short and skinny and you will have only 2 feet maximum distance between both speakers and only one foot from the controller so that's a big con so moral of my story is it's not a smart buy.

As usual QHMPL products are great value for money. I'm really impressed with the sound clarity of this speaker . This speaker has got a well designed volume control button, Excellent sound quality , looks fantastic , far better than any other company products in the same price range . Product looks far more expensive due to its elegant design. power consumption is also very low .

I purchased this product since it has a wooden casing which was my first priority to get a good quality sound. The price being so less, I had minimum expectations from it. But just within a few days of usage, I realized that the front panel had no type of glue or screw to keep it attached to the wooden box and the front plastic panel just kept detaching itself from the wooden casing. It then I first time I realized that each box contained only one speaker and not two as shown in the image. I decided to return the item and go for another branded product from Amazon itself. Hope this review was useful to some of you who are planning to buy this speaker. 4th June 2019 Speakers stopped working all of a sudden. Return window closed. It is not worth it seems. Better go for a 2.1 speaker at least.

The speakers have a very wide dynamic range. Bass and midtones are great, though the highs are a little suppressed. That is all but expected from a 2 inch diameter wide range speaker designed for bass, which appeals public more. The amp doesn't clip even at full volume. The speakers and amp are well-matched. The wooden construction lends a special charm to the sound quality. But note that only the two 2 inch speakers play. The smaller ones are for show. They are not speakers after all, in case you were expecting.
