Works like a charm, the gain too. All effects work well, have not tried the variations yet. This mini amp has a real clean sound and also provides crisp distorted tones when used with the right amount of gain. No humming, battery life is really good so far (Two AAA batteries on top of that). If used on a Startocaster, it can be safely left on it for storing and quick access later on due to its rotatable plug (although keep in mind it only rotates a 180 degress not all the way round, which is a slight bummer). The power and loudness for that matter surprised me. Did not expect this from a mini amp. This is helpful when on the go as its pretty portable and saves a lot of space and even better to keep the sound only to yourself or play in the middle of the night. You can also hook this up to a portable speaker and play equally well if you need a replacement for the regular amp.

This is a fantastic product.. I only get time to practice in the night, and this is ideal for me.. The clean tone (with low gain) is warm and the high gain sound sound is quite crunchy. Also the three effects are nice to have, though I seldom use it.. Only little problem I see is, when I plug it into my strat, the controls are downwards. If the plug could rotate 270 degrees instead of 180 degrees, the problem wouldn't have arisen. Anyway, it is not that big a deal and the pros by far outweigh this little issue. 5 stars.

Its easy tl use- and very travel freindly- i only wish they had a blue tooth to headphone featue! But otherwise i aint complainin-

This product is better than what i expected. The quality of sound is amazing. I needed a product which i cuould use at night times so my family doesn't get disturbed by my guitar and i needed it fr travelling. This headphone amp has grout fx effects. It is worth it and i rewlly love it. Great product by VOX . Will buy more of theur products . Amazong product i would recommend it to everyone who plays guitar. Great product do buy.

It is small enough to fit in the pocket and comes with a pair of AAA batteries. I'm using it with a pair of JBL headphones and am very satisfied with its performance. Also, it is made in Japan, not China (as virtually everything is these days).

This pocket sized amp is small only in literal sense but musically it can do wonders for you if u are up for it.Just set it into ur headphone or exertnal speaker and practice long and hard.The three fx on it also works fantastically if you want to sprinkle you tone with some extra toppings on it.

Excellent little amp. Very happy with the new version (Amplug2), much better sound than the original. The effects button is basic but is adequate for the size and price.
