Demko Knives Armiger Fixed Blade with Sheath- Armiger 2 & Armiger 4 - Clip Point Spear Point Tanto Shark Foot Serrated Full Tang

Great medium sized knife. Good carbon steel, decent coating. Great sheath with good retention. I would say it is a good alternative to the Esee 3 or 4 if you want to spend less. I liked it so much I have all 3 blade shapes. Drop point, tanto and spear point. Pretty decent spine. It meant to be a slicer more for medium to heavy use. You can detach belt nylon loop and attach a clip. The sheath can be taken apart for cleaning, it is well made and designed. You can put knife in sheath in left or right orientation and you can fit all 3 blade shapes in same sheath. It’s not heavy and it has a full tang construction. For this type of knife in that price range $60-$70 is pretty good.

Now that Cold Steel is making their little keychain knives in China and not Japan I sought an alternative. The decline in quality was dismaying. This is made in Taiwan and the quality is superior to what cold steel is selling now. It’s a little thing but you can’t put a price on peace of mind.

Review of Demko Armiger 2 clip point serrated 2”. This is a near clone of the Cold Steel Urban Pal mini fixed blade. Flat handle though, rectangular sheath that tips over less in the pocket. Made in Taiwan not Japan. Serrations identical to Cold Steel and perfectly ground, but small unserrated tip has a wire edge on my sample (didn’t properly finish sharpening at the factory). My guess is that Demko has permission from GSM, the new Cold Steel owner for the past five years, to use the Cold Steel exclusive serrations design, and possibly also to use the same subcontractor that makes all but the PRC sourced designs. If so, the remaining Japanese Cold Steel production of Urban Edges and Urban Pals will probably shift to Taiwan too. Those serrations require special tools. Which is better? Vanilla or strawberry? They are not only in the same wheelhouse, they’re on the same crew. BUT Demko offers plain edge and wharncliffe vs. a single Cold Steel serrated drop point design. Frankly, I’m disappointed Demko didn’t make the hilt and sheath slimmer; except for that hilt area, it’s slim even at the handle. But add in the hilt and “bucket” in that area on the sheath, and suddenly it’s too thick/lumpy for flat pocket carry. In terms of self defense, this is a last ditch hostage tool. When circumstances have all-but overwhelmed you. Maybe a jogger’s neck knife would be the ideal scenario - most protection for least weight - but I’d lean towards the Urban Pal for better grip. Yeah it will open packages but get the plain edge for that. It’s easy to resharpen, this serrated version less so.

Great sized personal fixed blade that performs well and came sharp. A quick strop made it even more keen. The size is great and the four inch blade handles quite a lot of tasks without being cumbersome. I have a medium hand and it is good for me although people with XL sized hands may have issues with the handle being too short. I liked mine so much I gifted the clip point version to my buddy with large hands who carries it on his woodland property. Knife is secure and easy to draw. I wear mine with a teklok on my belt although some may want more discreet options such as an ulticlip. Color and coating is great with even grinding and the sheath has a nice anti-dulling property in the polymer which is a nice touch. Recommended.

Best knife ever

Gefallen tutie nach wie vor das Design, auch wenn es designtechnisch schwierig wird, eine Lösung zu finden um es am Gürtel quer zu tragen. Außerdem hätte es gern etwas schärfer geliefert werden können. Trotzdem ist es gut nutzbar

Execelente cuchillo de uso militar, tiene un buen filo, es muy compacta, tiene un agarre excelente, es completamente fulltang, Es mi segunda hoja de la familia armiger 4, solo que primera que compré es de filo dentado. Espero comprar otra más pero de punta tanto.
