Seems to work well, and installation is as simple as placing the device on a flat surface, but simple wall mount is available. Battery powered. Setup requires use of the app on one's smartphone, which goes through a setup procedure that includes reception -- can it talk to the main thermostat? And then you assign it to the thermostat of choice (if you have more than one). What I did not immediately understand is that within the app you can determine which device has temperature priority -- the thermostat itself or the remote sensor. That was not immediately obvious from the instructions.

I just love these & how they tie into your main thermostat. Have had the older nest thermostat for years & since we had just built a new home figured I would get the new 4th generation one. It came with 1 sensor which we have been using in various rooms. figured I would add 3 more to various rooms to help regulate the temp. better. they work great & you can turn them off & on as needed thru the app on your phone

Easy and quick setup. This is much smaller than expected, disappears in the room, so much so we that we might actually have to put a label on it so it does not get thrown in a drawer or tossed out. Thermostats are often in some hallway not in the main home area, so this allows managing a reasonable temperature in other rooms. not just the single location. This is well worth the price.

No, despite description claims it's compatible with the third generation learning thermostat it doesn't work due to software version issues, but there is no new software version available. Now need to go and investigate with Google Nest help. Painful.

If buying for use the UK, be vary wary, it is not compatible and will not link to your 3rd generation Nest thermostat as suggested in the product description.

Had it only for a few hours and its awesome, absolutely worth it. My thermostat is in a hallway, and there is an air intake underneath it and a bathroom beside it. The temp on my thermostat was never accurate and my bills were all over the place. I would constantly be adjusting it up or down at least 6 times during the day. Instead of hiring an HVAC person to run lines and cut through drywall and do all of that, chat gpt suggested that I just get a sensor. My house temp is now officially stable. Im so impressed. It showed rhat the hallway was actually 23.5 while the rooms were only 20. I cant wait to save a good amount of money because of this now that the thermostat isnt confused!
