We love this game so much. Its easy to learn after playing it and learning on the way and it gets easier after a while. Its a fun game for friends and family. Its a nice game to play when it is raining its a nice pace.

Very fun game, gameplay is fun and fast paced. The characters and powers are unique and useful. The cooperative aspect of the game makes for a great game night.

Light strategy, cooperation-based to win. Fun for the whole group! Each version has slightly different variations, allowing for new and interesting continued play. Love the figures chosen and the creative game board scenes!!

I love this series and was happy to add this one to my Horrified collection. While I don’t think it was quite as good as Classic or USA monsters, I would put this one in third above Greek.

Horrified is our favorite cooperative board game. The game has a small learning curve when first playing each monster. The game is fun due to the challenge of defeating monsters while saving citizens before running out of cards. The board and games parts are quality parts. My 9 and 10 year old grandchildren love the discussion required to win this cooperative game.

Horrified is one of the most fun games to play with a bunch of friends. I own all of the different versions. And it's one of our go-to's.

We love the horrifed games a lot. They are so much fun. It's easy to learn how to play. The quality of the game is nice for how cheap the game is. The expansion can be played with some of the other horrifed games. The game size of the board is your typical size of a game.

It's hard to get how the game work's at first but it's very fun to play, and since you don't compete with other players, it's very satisfying for once cooperate to win.

After having played Horrified: Universal Monsters, I wanted more so I bought this one. Out of all the other versions of this game, not including the original, this one was the best. Much more challenging than the original.

I picked up Horrified: World of Monsters after doing a lot of research on co-op games that play well with two players and aren't too rules-heavy. My wife had been asking for a co-op experience, and the Horrified series kept coming up as a top recommendation. After weighing between the original Horrified: Universal Monsters, Greek Monsters, and this one, I ultimately chose World of Monsters—and I'm glad I did. This latest installment not only offers the same solid co-op mechanics the Horrified series is known for, but also includes cross-compatibility with Greek Monsters and likely future expansions, which gives it great long-term value. The steampunk aesthetic appealed to me more than the Greek mythology theme, and as an Asian gamer, I loved seeing the Jiangshi featured among the monsters—it added a nostalgic touch. Pros: 1. Great price point. 2. Rules are approachable, making it a fantastic gateway game for newer players. 3. Plays smoothly with two players, and the cooperative gameplay is engaging without being overwhelming. Cons: 1. The game includes only 4 monsters, which is a bit limited. However, for the price and cross-compatibility, it's still a good value. 2. Some rule clarity issues, particularly with Stage 2 of Cthulhu. We found answers on BoardGameGeek, and it didn’t detract from our enjoyment—we just opt to stop at Stage 1 if we want a simpler game. Overall, I highly recommend World of Monsters as an excellent entry point into the Horrified series and the board gaming hobby in general. Great for casual players and couples looking for a thematic and cooperative experience.
