Derwent Academy Visual Art Diary Hardcover Sketch Book, Elastic Closure and Perforated Pages 128 Pages (A5 Portrait)

Very smooth paper, perfect for sakura micron pens!

Good quality, sturdy! A Derwent product.

To start with, the packaging wasn't great, the sketchbook and it's pages came bent at the sides. The material used for the outer cover is of bad quality. I've used it for over a month now and the cover has already starting peeling and coming off at the spine. The binding is also quite poor. The paper itself was okay though, it's quite smooth and felt nice to sketch on. I think there are better sketchbooks even in the same price range.

I have had the Derwent Big Sketchbooks since years and finished three of them till date. They were perfect for pencil. However thought I would give this Academy one a try and hence ordered it. But I found that the paper quality although excellent is too smooth for pencil work. However I think it will be perfect for pen and watercolor wash style work and will use it for same.Overall binding quality is very good in keeping with the Derwent brand. However the price of 508/- for an A5 size is I feel a little overpriced as one can get Menorah sketchbooks as much less with good quality.

Thick white papers. Opens Flat. Ink doesn't bleed. Value for money

...like how the ink doesn't bleed into the back or the next pages!

The art book is fine but there's a slightly toxic whiff to it.

One of the best sketchbooks I’ve ever had. Pencil doesn’t smudge, erases well.

Thick enough that markers dont bleed on to under pages.Great value

This is my 2nd order of these books as my husband just loves them.Great size & wonderful quality
