I purchased these paper pattern block shapes for our Pre-K classes to use during an attribute sorting activity, and they worked wonderfully. The variety of shapes is a huge plus—especially since sets like this don’t always include options like rhombuses and hexagons. It really allowed us to expand the learning and give students more opportunities to compare and sort. The pieces are well-made and easy for little hands to use. While there is a bit of prep involved in punching the shapes out, they are nicely pre-cut, so the process is quick and not difficult at all. Overall, this is a great resource for hands-on math activities and a valuable addition to any early childhood classroom.

I ordered these for my students to create their own animal out of shapes for an activity we were doing at the conclusion of our shapes lesson. These were easy to push out of the perferated cuts. The kids loved it. There were tons of colors in every shape and I had enough for all my students to use them this year and will have enough for next year.

We used these shapes at church day camp for a craft where children designed mini "barn quilts". They glued the pieces to chip board in quilt-inspired designs. Pieces were consistently sized and brightly colored. I found it odd that the pages weren't optimized for using the entire page of cardstock. I would have connected all the pieces directly to each other to get more pieces per page as well as make punching them out faster. Instead each shape was surrounded by white space that is discarded. You end up using maybe half the page of cardstock for the perforated shapes.

Perfect for shape activities in school

I love the great colors in this pack. The shapes are great and pretty easy to punch out for yourself. The downside is that the paper is thin. I do not think they will last long with young children. It would be great if it were more sturdy like lamented.

Good quality paper and easy and fast to punch out. I used for tangrams in a classroom and they worked great!

I thought these were stickers. My mistake. I bought them to use for 100th day in my classroom. They were more work than they were worth to prep. They were much too time consuming for my 4K student to punch out, position on the shapes template, and glue into place. They might work better with older students. Also, I (my mistake, again) thought these were just the traditional pattern block shapes: hexagon, trapezoid, triangle, square, and blue/tan rhombus’. The colors are mixed, and there were other shapes included, too. Unfortunately, it was just not the right product for the activity I had planned. If they had been more user friendly for my young students, they might have worked despite the different colors and extra shapes we didn’t need.
