Fantastic for learning about tailoring. My mother taught me how to sew. She was a professional seamstress. But tailoring was beyond my ability. This manual made it so easy to “tailor” my ability. Kudos for making the instructions easy and for the diagrams/illustrations.

I love this book. Its helped me refresh on my skills as I chose not to do an apprenticeship but to do self study because I learned to sew as a child. I’ve learned so much about new products and it’s very detailed. I recommend for people at all skill levels. It’s like the tailoring bible :)

My two grandsons have suddenly got into designing and making some of their 'cooler' clothes. This book makes each step clear. Too soon for a photo - other than of 2 happy faces.

The book itself is fantastic and I highly recommend it, my only issue is the condition I received it in because it arrived bent and covered in what I can only assume is mud. Not sure if this was due to the packaging and the weather we’ve had, but if Amazon could protect the books with plastic that would help a lot.

This book had a lot of similarity with Alison Smith’s book “The Sewing Book”. Great pictures, easy to follow. Geared towards creating clothes from scratch. However, not much on how to alter clothes to fit better, or style improvements.

Very thorough and detailed book. I love it. FYI, I purchased the sewing book from this author as well and it has the same beginning chapters in it.

Bought for my daughter. Good illustrations and photos of techniques. She said she'll find it useful especially for sewing jackets.
