Los Angeles, CA s Weezer will release their highly anticipated ninth album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End, on October 7th, 2014 on Republic Records. Produced by Ric Ocasek, who previously helmed production on the band s first and third records ( The Blue Album and The Green Album ), Everything Will Be Alright In The End is the band s first collection of new material in four years. Since forming in 1992, Weezer has released a myriad of celebrated, chart-topping albums, selling over 13 million records worldwide. Following an intensely prolific couple years at the end of the aughts, the band chose to deliberately dial down the tempo in 2010, a move singer/guitarist Rivers Cuomo says allowed him to write at a slower pace, giving the songs he wanted to use for an album the time to gradually grow into their final forms. He started almost every song on the piano, eventually transferring them to the guitar before taking them to the band. When it came time to record the material, Weezer reunited with the man who helped them make some of their most iconic album-length work, Cars frontman Ric Ocasek. The resulting album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End, is a stand-out gem in Weezer s vast and varied catalogue, a reflection of a much-loved band at their very best. Organized thematically around three groups of songs, it is an album that utilizes that sound from the band s earliest days to tell new stories in 2014, creating some of the finest, most heartfelt songs Weezer has ever recorded.

still good.
First I'd like to say I've been a fan of weezer since their debut album and have purchased every album since then. I wouldn't say any of their albums are bad, but some I clearly enjoy listening to more than others, which is the same for any artist I guess. And on that note already I see myself coming back to EWBAITE more frequently. It's a good album, it's solid right through and has some great stand alone tracks too. I'm just not 19 anymore so it will never speak to me the same way blue or pinkerton did, but that's ok, and my kids enjoy watching me rock out like a lunatic every now and again too.Bottom line if you like or have liked weezer at any point, buy it, it's good.

A complete album of decent tracks throughout rather than a handful of shortlived hits. Weeeeeezer! have come back strong
Personally, Weezer have always been touch and go with their album releases and more so recently a real lottery. However being a fan of the self titled 'colours' albums, pinkerton and Maladriot. Its hard to pick a favourite but Pinkerton, Red & Maladriot get played the most, i must confess this album has surprised me greatly. The sound is very much back to their melodic geek punk pop days of the 90s and the first album where i only skip one track but its is listenable ( cleopatra is the track btw). Granted there is always an top anthemic track from every album, but i'd rather have album of 8 or 9 out of 10 tracks throughout, than 3 or 4 top 10 tracks and rest being mediocre at best. I'd recommend a few listens, some will instantly grab you with catching choruses or opening, but you'll grow to love them pretty all in their own right.

The best Weezer album
I know it's controversial, but this is a modern day classic.EWBAITE is certainly one of their top 5 albums, and nearly every song is a true sing-a-long.

Getting better.
Better than most Weezer releases. Some clear faves and standout tracks are evident from the very first listen. Plenty of variation on this one although it's not without a few fillers here and there. Pat's drumming has been challenged on this one, more so than other Weezer efforts and the final trilogy of songs are just magic, more of this please. The guitars do sound a little muddier than other albums they seem to have lost a little 'crunch'.

Pinkerton...we love you
Rivers Cuomo! How can you work this bloke out? I certainly can't. From nowhere he decides to go back to the start and write great songs that got us hooked in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I loved some of the stuff after Pinkerton but he never quite hit the spot again until now. this truly has taken me back to when I fell in love with Weezer.
