Couldn't get it to work with Linux Mint 18.3 but I am not a programmer. Tried it with an old Kubuntu (Ubuntu 15) installation and it worked - plug and play. But data transfer was slow - an ethernet connection was four times faster. Possibly works fine with windows but didn't try it.

My 5 year old laptop is running at 60mbs on its wifi card. My £4000 msi gaming pc with 8xi7 pentium processors is downloading at 50kbs using this adapter.Dial up was faster. This dongle/adapter is a joke and loses the connection every 2 minutes. Can't even play a YouTube video. It's not my internet, all other devices stream/download fine. It's not the computer as it's the dogs danglies. Do not buy unless you enjoy download speeds from 1996
