The Watercolor Ideas Book

It was a very dirty copy, which was not in the description.

This is a fabulous book. The artwork is wonderful and while not a "how-to" book, it's filled with great ideas, more through the work than the words. Pictures on every page. I am so happy I picked it up. Definitely a great book.

"Inspirational," as useful as meditation. zzzz..

The examples were very simple and not all of them were even interesting. The pictures on the kindle version are very small. I think it was a waste of money

Only a few lesson are given and not their best pictures.

This book is excellent, especially for those artists who are either stuck or wanting to mix things up a bit regarding media. I’m glad I bought this book. I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is a great book!

Firstly: this book is small. I didn't check the size of the book (it's not something you do when buying a book) but I expected a larger book to see images in more detail.Secondly: This is a quick reference guide for techniques already out there. One page with an illustration of a technique and the other is a description. I was expecting some new, different and exciting ways to use watercolour in the form of step by step guides.I am disappointed by this book. It may have a use to have a quick flick through to approach future commissioned work with a difference technique - but if you're looking for help in finding new techniques (like I was) this isn't the book for you.

This is postcard sized with minimal text. The ideas are simply that... try cityscapes/ try botanicals/ try crayons etc. No tips or instructions on method or technique. Simply saying `try handmaking paper` with no recommendations for books or websites is a bit unhelpful imo. A few nice ideas ideas but nothing to indicate how to follow them up. Possibly good for an older child to stimulate them?

'Selfindulgence'. Too gimmicky to be useful .....

This was a present for an artist friend and was very well received
