Excellent bars. Easy to install. Value priced.

At 72 I needed something in the shower on two walls just to make sure that if I was feeling as if I was going to slip or fall or getting in and get out I've got something to hold on to. Perfect for that. Very sturdy easy installation depending on the type of tile you have but mine will not that easy because I have quarter inch porcelain tiles that are incredibly hard so I went through four different carbide tip bits just make the hulls for the fixtures. No fault of the rails just the tile is just incredibly hard.

Just got out of the hospital. My son installed some hand grips around at strategic locations. They seam to work really well. Easy to install in minutes.

We installed in doorway in garage into laundry room. We have an uneven step. Very high. Held well even when carrying groceries. Easy to install. Cheaper than replacing step.

Flaws: First, the dimensions shown in the description of the product are not accurate, and are internally inconsistent. Second, the instructions don't clearly state what types of walls these grab bars can be fastened to. It appears that the use of screws and anchors (all included) are designed for some sort of solid (tile, plaster, masonry) backup wall, rather than a wood stud wall with gypsum board. Third, the escutcheon plates are "fastened" into place by friction rather than with a set screw. Now for the good things: The product appears to be well made, and looks and feels solid. Because my bathrooms have plastic surrounds over drywall and wood studs, I located the studs and screwed directly into them, through the plastic surround. In other words, I used the screws without the anchors. Given the geometry of the circular plate, with three screw holes under the escutcheon plate, it may not be possible for all three screws to hit the stud, but engaging two of the three screws seems sufficient. The bars seem solidly and firmly in place, and the friction connection of the escutcheon plate seems secure (time will tell how well it holds up). Overall, this is an incredible price for what seems like solid and well-made grab bars. The flaws are there, but are not "deal-killers." One would hope that the manufacturer could fix them for future sales.

These worked very well for us. I mounted them both verticle and horizontally. The 16 inch length helps because of stud spacing. They came with all the hardware. Overall a good product.

I have an attic access with a ladder that can be tricky to ascend. I added these grab bars at the top and it is much safer now. When screwed into wood they are very secure. Note that there is a bolt that secures the plate with three screw holes to the bar. Be sure to rotate the plate so that all holes have screwdriver access before tightening the bolt. I didn't do so and had to take it apart.

Sturdy, functional with a good price.
