Where are these made?

No idea, but they are not that flat. My favorite and my benchmark for flatness is the old Joe Boxer: cheap, around $11,00, but sold at Kmart which unfortunately is gone.

I've bought pillows with the same material inside and it clumps together when washing. How can I wash these without that happening?

Mine seem to straighten out in the dryer. If not your just ging to have to sleep on them and mold them toward the way you feel most comfortable
